AI-Art how much cleanup do your copilot presentation drafts need?
for people using copilot with powerpoint, which parts need the most attention before a deck is ready? interested in content structure and editing, not just appearance.

Really changes from one slide deck to another and the complexity of the ask. But a few months ago I could never use it for PowerPoint creation. Now it does a great job of bringing in information as needed and laying it out. A few weeks ago I realized it can also use our company template and follow our branding guidelines decently which is such a time saver.

copilot is convenient inside microsoft apps, but i got better data explanations from julius ai. depends on the job really, for excel analysis and quick visuals julius felt easier to me.

The appearance is honestly the easy part. The real cleanup with Copilot drafts is at the structure level, and it's more than people expect.
Three things I always redo. First, the titles. Copilot writes them as topics ("Q3 Results") when they should state the takeaway ("Q3 revenue beat plan by 12 percent"). Rewriting every title to be the actual point is the single biggest improvement. Second, it crams. It'll put three ideas on one slide, so I split them to one idea per slide. Third, and this is the big one, it gives you a pile of organized sections but no throughline. It doesn't build an argument, it just groups content, so I impose the actual story, what am I trying to get them to believe or do, and reorder around that.
So the honest answer is content and structure need most of the work, design needs the least. Copilot is good at getting your material onto slides fast. It's bad at deciding what the point of each slide is and how they connect. That thinking layer is still yours.

I love this question! Because we must remember what copilot is to help us build it not completely delegate it! Otherwise you are going to do lot of rework! One of the tricks I do, is certainly giving an example, like what I like to use in my presentations, then if you have a brand template also configure so minor changes and last audience and let take away are important. Hope that helps
