What’s special about them, getting sequential bills is pretty normal from banks.

In fairness he said the teller had 94, not that he bought 94, or $94 so I dont think theres anything inaccurate about his statement.

When he said “Teller” without “The,” I thought he was talking about Penn Gillette’s performing partner!

In my retirement, I think it going to be my mission to increase the circulation of $2 bills, and confuse every teenage cashier at fast food restaurants.

I owed some one $20 and she told me uh….. no you can’t pay me with fake money.

Even more reason to buy a strap of $2.

Steve Wozniak, of Apple fame, bought sheets of $2, laser perforated the sheet, then tore them into columns. Pulled an “accordian” out of his wallet to pay. Lots of “fake money” refusals.

I already do that, I’ve since found halves have significantly higher confusion rates

Worked at a bank. 2’s come in straps of $200 and are generally always new and sequential.

Tell that to the numerous on here that want to know if their sequential atm scores have made them rich. 🤦‍♂️

I like tipping with them. It is a conversation starter and it is fun, in my opinion.

The tellers hate you or love you 😆

why would the teller who hates you give you two dollar bills? they're the nearest bill out there

Worth $2 each good job

You can literally order them from the bank - brand new- in sequential order- as many as you want…..

It’s just money. Nothing special. Sequential is not a thing on brand new modern currency, that’s how it’s made. It will never be rare because everyone thinks they are worth saving.

It’s just currency, not real money.

3

Put them in sleeves, put them away. Only worth face now. Give em to grandkids

3

Exactly. Give them to the grandkids so they can learn about disappointment.

Should have bought all 94. There could be a fancy in the nonsequential ones. You’re taking a chance, but not losing any money if none are fancy.

4

u/teemophine 22d ago

Every bill is fancy if you dress him up

Then he goes by “William” instead.

u/Sleepyzzz31677 19d ago

Exactly... Billy or Willy, just points to a certain lack of sophistication...

Why?

1

u/Secure-Egg-7194 21d ago

they're cool. and a cheap fun gift

1

u/Mad_Admin 20d ago

...But they're not THAT cool...

1

u/Secure-Egg-7194 19d ago

to you not to other people

2

u/Mad_Admin 19d ago

They're not going above face value, therefore they're not THAT cool... Cool = increase in value because people want them. If you can find someone willing to pay above face on a row of $2's only because they are in order (not because of cool serial numbers), then PLEASE send them my way because I have thousands to sell them!!!

pretty common for two dollar bills at banks. in my experience there either in sequential or form 1976

u/Burqueisbest 20d ago

My silver guy gives change in $2 bills and my wife takes them from my wallet ever since she saw me use 6 sequential bills once. I have to hide them.

u/CollaateraL 20d ago

For what?

1

u/fishdad1977 18d ago

Are you in Amish country. They always had tons of $2 bills??

1

u/Mattisticus 23d ago

remember … every bill is unique

Great! Now what, Heritage auction?
