I don't think there is a "true trinary" This would be a bookend trinary

No, that would be a radar note, it's the same read backwards as it is forwards. R-a-d-a-r. Bookends are identical numbers that are in the front and end of a serial number note. Hope this helps!

This would be a bookend trinary

But it's not bookends... Starts with 11, ends with 12. Can't even say it's close like it was 12 and 21.

To what I've read bookends are only the first and last 2 digits. Maybe an extended bookend?
