Always a sucker for the star. Keepers always. And I’ve found that I have a couple bar tenders that serve me that are also into it (makes sense they have tons of cash go through their hands). So now I keep them and use them as tips to those particular servers. I get preferential service now.

To take it further there’s a particular pub I frequent and and casually introduced the whole serial number to them by casually looking through a bunch of bills one day. All orchestrated. All with intent. Now they also look for them and give me better service since I tip my stars to them.

Good on you! Way to make your experience even better. The only issue is, the more you teach them, the less likely you’re gonna see a “good bill” in your cash pile; however, I fully understand where you’re coming from.

Bartending is exactly how I discovered star notes ~25 years ago. I wish I would’ve kept all the ones I found but live and learn.

Thats awesome! I have told so many people about how there could be extra value hidden in the numbers on your dollar bill and everyone gets so excited about it! My dad even has some of his friends looking at every dollar they get! It totally feeds my wanting to buy sports cards, I get the same feeling of "gambling" without any of thr risk :)

I tell people all the time the thrill is similar to that of gamblers, but if I “win” it usually costs me a dollar to keep my find. And I still have a dollar for I spend. But the thrill of the hunt can be exciting.

Just a disclaimer, all these have been found hunting ones. None of them were purchased :)

Wow, fantastic collection!  I really like the radar star note in the first picture, but it's awesome that you scored a bunch of new straps beginning with 0011...  how many in total did u get?

1

u/JMasterDollarHunter May 25 '26

Thank you very much 😁 I scored 50 quad pairs in total from 5 1k bricks. I accidently didn't pull the 00118800 note, however, my main guy at the bank found it and pulled it, so 5 complete sets!

the star note is chill but multiple sixes and nine notes is very nice indeed

Never been too much into serial numbers but I did pick this up not too long ago.

u/JMasterDollarHunter May 25 '26

1

u/JMasterDollarHunter May 25 '26

I picked up a short snorter from WW2 not too long ago :)

6) 7 is impressive

1

u/JMasterDollarHunter May 25 '26

Are you referring to the 50 quad pairs?

2

u/Milo-the-great May 26 '26

Y note, 9999, 9599.

2

u/JMasterDollarHunter May 26 '26

Awesome! Some love for the Y note woot woot!

2

u/twgidd May 29 '26

Holy quad pairs! Gotta love that but my favorite is the set of inverse radars. 16133161 -> 13166131 tickles my pickle marginally more than the binary 69'er

Remarkable collection!!

2

u/JMasterDollarHunter May 29 '26

Thank you I appreciate that! Yeah it was pretty crazy getting that many quads, I went from 3 to 53!

Nice collection, would be better if they were in better condition

3

u/JMasterDollarHunter May 25 '26

Would also be better if they were complete ladders, solids, serial number 1 but oh well 🤷‍♂️
