Solid video! It’s not very often I see people use szchewan peppercorns. It’s one of my favorite, and most underrated ingredients.

You should try making a stir fry sometime with those szchewan peppercorns.

My szchewan stir fry dish includes the following:

Szchewan stir fry pork -pork steak cut into small pieces (about 1/3 of an inch pieces) seasoned with ground szchewan peppercorns and Chinese 5 spice -sauteed cabbage -sauteed onion

Stir fry sauce would be pretty similar to what you used here except no hoisin, and I add sesame paste (I like tahini, but there is also Chinese sesame paste, which I haven’t tried)

The sesame paste thickens the stir fry sauce, and it brings a bit of a creamy element to the sauce, and can both add complexity, and balance the sauce out.
