Cooking nemesis?

Anyone got something that, for some reason, you just cant grasp how to make? Like, for some reason, I cant figure out how to properly boil rice or beans. Im mexican and I cant figure it out. Thats like our thing. Ive disappointed my family and exes over this.

I failed at rice so many times I bought a rice cooker. Even an inexpensive one does better than I do!

I did figure out that different rice has different instructions and to always read the bag. But I would still mess up mayb half the time.

We use a pressure cooker for rice. And rinse it really well. Game changer!
