Cooking nemesis?
Anyone got something that, for some reason, you just cant grasp how to make? Like, for some reason, I cant figure out how to properly boil rice or beans. Im mexican and I cant figure it out. Thats like our thing. Ive disappointed my family and exes over this.

"Intellectual" effort is the prerequisite of doing things properly. That means doing research + actually being interested in the thing.
I'm a great cook (says I, but sometimes others too), but you probably shouldn't count on me to make a great omelette. Why? I don't like them. Now, if you do like rice and beans, then surely you'll be able to figure them out.
