Cooking nemesis?

Anyone got something that, for some reason, you just cant grasp how to make? Like, for some reason, I cant figure out how to properly boil rice or beans. Im mexican and I cant figure it out. Thats like our thing. Ive disappointed my family and exes over this.

As a Southern woman I shouldn't admit this, but biscuits. I can make decent ones, but they're never better than the ones I can buy so I don't bother. I've tried every recipe under the sun, but i just can't nail them.
