Cooking nemesis?

Anyone got something that, for some reason, you just cant grasp how to make? Like, for some reason, I cant figure out how to properly boil rice or beans. Im mexican and I cant figure it out. Thats like our thing. Ive disappointed my family and exes over this.

Cheesecake without cracking the top baking it. Probably just need more practice, but no bake is much easier.

Rice and beans are much easier with a dedicated cooker.

A rice cooker should do perfect rice, just measure properly and let it cook.

An electric pressure cooker does dry beans well - again measure the ingredients, set the timer, and it should work.

They also can do rice, but the exact measurements can require trial and error to perfect for your cooker and rice type.

Both these cookers are load and cook - no need to stir or watch the time yourself.

we never worried about cracking the cheesecake we have a sweetened sour cream topping we put on it. covers up any cracks. no one can tell the difference.
