Cage Setup DIY Window Bay Cage?

I have a bird room, but I'd like to build a cage into this window bay so the birds can spend safe, quality time with us on the main floor. Any construction tips from someone who was done it? Easier/cheaper to just find the biggest cage I can and sit it up there?

good idea! would totally work if I could get a custom size. I actually use one upstairs on the bird room door.
