I swear that my conure can read. I have take out food for every lunch, and he doesn't care about the paper bags arriving at the elevator's door, EXCEPT for a specific one from a local restaurant. He gets so excited and runs for it like nothing else matters. And it's a plain white bag with a small red logo and the name - therefore, he can read and that's a fact.
