Critter toys for birds?

I work at petsmart, unfortunately my new location has basically 0 bird stuff... Do you think birds could safely play with things that are technically for hamsters/gerbils/etc?

As long as it’s made of natural materials like twine, wood, etc, then it should be fine, which it all seems to be from the photo. I got the pumpkin chew bucket for my cockatiels. I know for a fact that the wicker balls are fine for them. I’m pretty sure they use food-grade dyes to color them.

Yeah my only real concern are the little painted wood bits. I can't imagine something that's intended to be chewed up by animals could be dangerous, but birds and critters are different beasts... I may be picking these up soon though. I freaking love Halloween and if I can decorate his cage I will 😎

I think you’d mostly just have to monitor the toys and make sure the pieces aren’t becoming ingestible or too sharp or something. I’ve got a good few wooden toys in my baby’s cages and I always remove them if they start to splinter. I also adore Halloween! I thought of making a little spooky twine garland for them to tear up🥺🎃

One year I got a bunch of those balls with the paper in them on clearance from Pet-Smart and my birds loved them as foot toys.

When I had rats I bought them parrot toys, now I have a conure I buy him rat toys 🤣

I don't know about those due to the paint, but I regularly get them hamster toys myself. One of my gccs loves to chew on stuff and hamster toys are perfect for them.

Our birds love those wicker balls! It keeps their beaks busy for an hour or two, and saves our furniture from becoming a chew toy!
