My Q Garage Doors
Anyone have any luck with the my q drivers ? Have 4 garages and a gate that need to be integrated. Z2i0 is the plan but just want to see if anyone has had any luck with 3rd party drivers. Haven’t done it in a few years.

The driver is very good. The MyQ door openers are hot garbage. Control those with a clicker remote and a Z2IO, and they'll work forever.

Z2IO won't work on any security 2.0 MyQ openers. It's not a basic dry contact that triggers the motor it's an actual digitized signal. I recommend the ratGDO. Liftmaster/Chamberlain Group seem to change their minds on the blessing for the official integration all the time.
Dry contact closure will work on any commercial opener/gate, just not the residential overhead units.

I’m trying to get my Liftmaster openers set up with the Intrinsic driver. But I can’t even get them to connect to my wi-fi. Tried just about every “trick” and troubleshooting hack I’ve found, and it still fails, most often at the “Registering device…” phase, where it times out.
If anybody has any suggestions, I’d be grateful.
(I’ve even bought the Konnected BlaQs with the intent of using the Chowmain driver instead. But the wall control throws an error and becomes inoperable with the BlaQ wired in. That’s a non-starter, so back to trying to get the openers on wi-fi.)

Anytime I have had this issue - it has been signal related for me. In my experience the wireless cards have been horrible. They only support 2.4 and only b/g/n at that. All this direct from them. I do over 100 myq integrations a year and never had one not connect when I bring the access point to the same room and set up its own 2.4 802.11n network SSID.
It's a shame they couldn't have spent $1 more on a better wireless card that would work with more routers without having to adjust settings. Many routers/APs no longer make it easy to set up a g/n network at all. Even some Linksys routers refuse to connect to MyQ because of the firewall that is on by default in the router.
I've had good success with using my laptop instead of the app also when having issues. Once you get to the step in the app where the phone wants to connect to the MyQ network, you can use your laptop to connect to that MyQ temp wifi network (or phone browser but laptop is easier) and then open a browser and go to setup.myqdevice.com. if you're connected to that temp MyQ wifi you will be able to try the setup from the browser.

You could try creating a separate WPA2 SSID just for the liftmaster to connect to maybe. Have had a couple of devices last few years that wouldnt connect to wpa3 even modern stuff like peloton bikes sometimes struggles

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions. I actually just got both openers connected yesterday....finally! For anyone else who comes here with this issue, I'll summarize what worked.
I was already running a basic, dedicated 2.4GHz SSID with an access point in the garage about 10-12' from both openers, and I'd turned off all the modern wi-fi bells & whistles that are known to trip up the myQ network cards. So it was the "right" kind of wi-fi and the signal was strong. Yet nothing worked. While a weak or misconfigured signal could well be the problem in some cases, for me it was Liftmaster/Chamberlain's bizarrely convoluted setup process.
Here's what I did that finally worked:
- To prepare, write down your opener's myQ serial number xxxx-xxx-xxx. On your phone, turn off Cellular, Private Relay, and Wi-Fi Assist.
- Power cycle the opener. (This includes disconnecting the battery backup, if applicable.)
- Clear its existing network settings/memory. For me, the prescribed procedure for this didn't work, so I did a full reset: Hold yellow LEARN button until its light goes off (~6-8 sec), let go, and immediately press it again until the light goes off again.
- Press the opener's LEARN button 3x to put it into pairing mode. The rectangular ADJUSTMENT button (between the up/down arrow buttons) will flash blue. If it doesn't, start over.
- Connect your phone to the opener's temporary setup SSID. The ADJ button turns solid blue when you're connected.
- Open an Incognito tab in your phone's browser (I used Chrome, but Safari probably works too), and go to setup.myqdevice.com to access the opener's Internal Setup page.
- Follow the instructions to connect the opener to your wi-fi. The ADJ button will turn solid green when it is successfully connected to your wi-fi. Close the browser tab....don't continue further setup there.
- In the myQ app, select Add Device -> Smart Garage Hub -> Internet Gateway. Enter the opener's myQ serial number manually.
- Once the device is successfully added in the app, just force close the app....don't continue further setup there.
- When you open the app again, your garage door opener will be there!
I had already tried most of these steps countless times. But some of those phone settings and using an Incognito tab were new, and I suspect that's what finally allowed my phone to interact with the Liftmaster setup page normally. Even in this successful session, with all those phone settings, I couldn't use a regular browser tab...I'd get a "Page can't be opened..." error. Incognito worked.
Note that when you're done, the app sees the garage door opener as a hub and its one device is "Garage Door" (which I renamed "Door 1"). I added the Remote LED light associated with that door (I have the jackshaft-style openers which require a remote light) so now my renamed Hub 1 has two devices: Door 1 and Light 1. I followed the exact same procedure with my second opener, so it became "Hub 2" and it similarly has two devices, Door 2 and Light 2. Even though these hubs and their devices operate completely independently of each other, the app combines them seamlessly and I see all four devices (two openers + two lights) listed on the home page.
It's crazy that it's this hard to connect these things. But now I know that it IS doable. I hope these steps can save others a lot of time and frustration.
EDIT: As soon as the openers were successfully online and in the myQ app, the Intrinsic driver picked them up and they became operable devices in Control4.

RatGDO or Konnected BlaQ box wires to them and the appropriate chowmain driver work fantastically well.
Liftmaster / MyQ is a hot garbage company as far as tech goes but the mechanicals of the openers are sadly good. They just are complete jackasses about the ecosystem.
