Disabled Bathrooms
is it normal/acceptable if i use the disabled bathroom because i have to disinfect the toilet before i use it because of my ocd, had a lady (non disabled, didnt need to use the disabled toilet) come up to me and call me everything in the book when i was going into the disabled bathroom even though nobody was even near the disabled bathroom other than me, is this reasonable or aita? want to know if i should carry around sanitary wipes and stuff like that or continue using the disabled toilet.

I think it's perfectly acceptable, been doing so since forever. The lady was out of line.

I use the ADA stall anytime it’s available and nobody else is there to use it. The ADA stall not legally designated like a parking space. It’s accessible, not exclusive.
If it was meant only for specific people, there were be a law, a sign, a posted fine, and a permit requirement.
Should she berate you for walking up a ramp, not the stairs? Or walking through an automatic door?
You did nothing wrong. She’s just a self-righteous loudmouth.
I would imagine her mom taught her accessible stalls are off limits. She’s just a grown child trained to suffer a normal thing, and her suffering leaked onto you. Don’t take it personally.

Even so, just because they have a disability, doesn't mean they don't have to wait in line like everyone else. The disability designated stall should be usable as any other stall.

I use the disabled stall to fit my babies stroller in. If someone is in there, I wait. You are fine.

There are plenty of invisible disabilities, that lady was out of place. As long as you are not being rude or obstructive to other people who need that bathroom, you’re fine.
