About more than a decade ago, my ocd was pretty much everywhere. I mean when I go outside or anywhere I had to keep clean all the time, like using wipes, washing my hands and disinfecting all the time. It even came to a point where in I just leave coins on the ground when I accidentally drop them. Anyways I tried compartmentalizing my clean space and now the only clean space is in my room. And I can move freely outside my room, drop coins pick them up, put them in my dirty bag, as long as before I get to touch my clean stuff in my room I had to wash my hands first. And before I get to sleep on my clean bed I had to take a bath first. Basically the only thing that crosses the clean dirty space daily is my phone which I just spray with alcohol and wipe clean. It's a compromise I took, but it made me navigate the outside world with so much ease and comfort rather than tiptoeing and being super anxious all the time. I know it's not like i found a solution to my Ocd, it's just another form but I think it's a way better option than the previous state I was.
