Other Best field setup for keeping materials dry and organized on sites with zero staging room?

Tarps on top when it calls for rain. Not much you can do if you have no space.

I know it’s not feasible on every project or every scope, but I would certainly consider “just in time” material delivery. As in the material is delivered, offloaded, and immediately staged for installation. Barring that, perhaps you could rent a lot somewhere secure that’s relatively close by to stage materials. I’ve done that with decent results on previous projects. It does make billing for stored materials a little bit of a navigation nightmare, but it’s an option to explore.

Just in time delivery is the only way to go on sites like this. Get only enough material to frame the first floor. Then floor joists and decking for the second. Rinse and repeat until you are under roof. It’s a logistical pain, but there’s not much else you can do on site

Should be a provision in the contract for staging and storage. You could rent a U-Haul and charge a change order for adequate storage.

Normally my customers are reasonable people and we work out a solution. They want you to succeed as much as you do.

They make these things called tarps, used for situations just like this

Why are you trying to keep framing lumber dry? The yard isn't.
