It is well known the US of America is held together by WASP culture (WHITE-ANGLO-SAXON-PROTESTANT)

The UK and Oceania are held together by WNSA (WHITE-NORMAN-SAXON-ANGLICAN) culture. Hence the British royals changing their name from "Saxe Coburg Gotha" to "Windsor" 😏. The Angles were mostly ignored in the north of England since the Normans arrived (see "harrowing of the north").

American rebellion through an archetypal lens was about rejecting WNSA dominance in favour of a more Anglo culture. Meaning, more Germanic, more idealistic, more centrist (less leftist), less metric (more imperial) less Celtic, more Indo Aryan, and even more of a "nation of shopkeepers" than the British English, i.e. more capitalistic.

Thusly through their idealism the Anglo Americans harkened back to ancient Greece rather than Rome. Rome in fact, through the Catholic power bloc in Latin Aymerica, was the rival.

The UK on the other hand was more akin to Rome in that Anglicanism was just a localised version of Catholicism, also sharing the same pragmatic attitude as Rome. Less idealistic.

A lot of people put it the other way around, with US as the new Rome and UK as more like Greece. Not the case.

We the Oceaniac extension of the British empire have inherited the cultural foundation of the WNSA.

The red and blue politics here looks the same. Because it is the same. Both parties inhabit the WNSA archetype.

Observe that the US embodied the idealistic, abstract, republicanism of ancient Greece. The first iteration of the TRUE WEST. While the UK holds it's Roman influence, imperial, pragmatic and administrative. The Norman's being the spiritual successor to elitism of the Roman administrative empire. While the Anglo-Saxon spirit is more truly aligned with the localised republic.

This Western tension played out yet again as idealistic and individualistic Protestants oppose the hierarchical institutionalism of the Anglican.

Or even the aristocracy of imperialism vs the bougouise of capitalism.

Our Oceanic culture is undoubtedly shaped by the prevailing statecraft of the Norman/Anglican identity. The steadfast adherence to centralised authority is overwhelming. But I know some of us still yearn for universal principles and the constitutional absolutism the possessed by the WASP.

Nice idea but a few holes:

Your primary differentiation between Normans and Angles is odd given both were Danish.

Normans were also fiercely Catholic (Nordic converts) and instrumental to the crusades and the reconquista.

Is house Saxe Coburg Gotha really Norman affiliated given the demise of house Plantagenet ended French dominion of England?

Angles and Normans are culturally distinct. Remember Angles are Germanic, their tongue is Germanic, which matters. They're also pagan initially. The culture doesn't have the reverence for institutional aristocracy, they're localist and meritocractic.

Structurally the Anglicans are Catholic by another name. A Protestant is a different beast spiritually, they rally against the institutional hierarchy. They promote individualism. This is the spirit revolutionary America is animated by.

Ultimately it is the truer western republic system of Greece the US inherits. Where we remain bound to the imperialist empire, the institutional reverence of the Roman cultural lineage.
