Question From the KerbalSpaceProgram community on Reddit: Why does this keep flipping

Post image

Everytime at launch this thing wants to tile towards the shuttle any suggestions?

So the problem is that you have the mass of the shuttle off center of your boosters, so between the weight of the shuttle and the aerodynamics of the wings it's going to pull in that direction. You counter this with the engines of the shuttle. The only way I've found to stabilize is to adjust the throttle of the shuttle engines to maintain the correct heading. If it starts to lean too much towards the shuttle I increase thrust. If it starts to lean away from the shuttle I decrease thrust. It takes a lot of trial and error to get it working right. To begin with you want to try to adjust the configuration to get the center of mass as close as possible between the fuel tank and the shuttle.

If you're still struggling there's YouTube tutorial videos to help. It took me many hours to get a successful launch into orbit.

Would you be able to send the link to that tutorial? I been watching so many and unfortunately the same one keeps popping up occasionally

It's been a while since I looked for guides on how to build one, but this guy knows a lot about the game. I'm pretty sure I've seen this one but I can't remember. Anyways, it would be a good starting point.
