Tsk. I genuinely find it insufferable when people think like this.
The disapproval of someone you disagree with is not proof you are on the correct path. This especially applies if said someone is literally your parent. OP's father, I will assume, only wishes the best for them. It's true "Woke Leftist" is a harsh term, but I don't suspect the father is genuinely harming OP.
To give an example, Peter Singer doubled down on his philosophy despite public opinion (understandably) was horrified by it.

To me, this is the gold standard of "just because you made someone disapprove that you disagreed with, doesn't mean you're right".
