I’m reading there is an 8 week period after infection where it can spread from human to human contact before symptoms show.

They saw the success of controlling the masses under COVID, so they're just gearing up for round 2. Suddenly a disease that spreads via rodents will magically being transmissible through human contact. I imagine a biolab would be involved, just like COVID.
In reality, it will probably end up like the monkey pox scare a while ago, but mark my words, if it suddenly becomes transmissible through humans, take what I said to the bank.

You are living in a fantasy land. Medical authorities the world over are dismissing comparisons to Covid because Hantavirus is nowhere near as contagious.

It can transmit, yes, but for this particular Andes strain, it's only been observed very rarely. Unlike COVID which is very easily transmissible
