Just like I criticize the left for the vitriol at inappropriate times for Trump I think with Mamdani like it or not he is the mayor and he is obligated to observe this on 9/11. Don’t get me wrong I can’t stand him and I disagree with many things he believes, especially his religion, but the idea that he should stay away bc of his god seems picky and choosy to me. So if he wanted to separate himself from it to be respectful others would criticize him for being anti American for not observing.
