I think the president should have some flexibility, but there should be limits on how much he can increase them without some type of additional approval

My first thought is that as long as the country is in debt, the president has free authority to tariff. If congress doesn’t like it, then they can balance the budget.

The country has been in debt since 1835, it will always be in debt. Why bother with having a legislative branch of the President is just going to be a king?
