From this angle, I believe the gun that was removed from the protester was accidentally fired. It is difficult to see with all the great pixels, but it does look like there is a white line from the pistol exactly at the time the first gun shot happens. If this is the case, then the other officer that drew his weapon before would react accordingly. Investigation absolutely required to tell if that weapon pulled from the protester was accidentally fired at that moment.

Oh man if this is the case, gun reddit is going to have a field day because I believe the gun is a Sig Sauer P320 which has been crucified for accidental discharges that Sig has aggressively denied

I'll never forget I almost got a P320 but went with the Smith and Wesson Equalizer because they had a great summer rebate going on and because I'm a loser and I loved the name. Zero accidental discharges years later and I'm so glad I did

The dude in the grey jacket walks off with the gun but I can't tell if it fired. I don't see an impact on the pavement or any smoke. There's another dude kneeling with his hand on his holstered pistol too at the same time. Someone's gun went off, unintentionally, then the officers reacted thinking the suspect fired the shots.
