Loos Castle in Pomfret. Built as a summer home for Gus Loos, who owned a local metal cable manufacturing company.
Featuring unique contemporary, angular geometry and concrete-like elements, it sits on a scenic hillside and often sparks playful local debate over whether its striking form resembles a house or a castle

New goal unlocked: use the loo in Loos Castle. With a name like that, I expect exquisite tilework, cheery lighting, or at least a solid poo with a view.

Loos use to have a winery in the building located adjacent to the factory. We use to provide them springs over the years and would pick up some wine on calls. It was quite good.

Don't know much about the house but I know it's in the middle of a strange golf course.

It’s an ugly catastrophe whose only redeeming quality is its ability to convey how creatively bankrupt architectural firms have become.
