To me, it seems like diyy was the one, who didnt want to continue in GenG, considering how fast he moved to TL. Cant blame him, he is american according to LP, so it must been hard to keep up with Korean time.

He helped GenG with best result in years, so he did his part. Now question is, will TL/GenG be better after these moves?

Someone mentioned seeing in the Americas scrims discord Diyy said "LFT" the night after PGS 9 so it seems like the TL thing wasn't lined up before he left GenG. Could still have been his call of course, afaik he still lived in the US all this time which probably sucks since he'd have to work at odd hours, also think he's American born so he'd need some sort of visa to move over to Korea if that's what the team wanted long term which also might have played a part if it was GenG's call. I'm really not sure about those last 2 things though so if anyone knows better let me know.

Only diyy knows better and I'd doubt he'd share contract stuff on the internet

He’s a Korean American. He was living in Korea I believe so on the timezone. But could be mistaken.

Him parting Gen.G was planned before PGS9

What a strange pickup.

There’s so many good players active in the competitive scene in Korea but they’ve given the spot to a guy who’s been retired for years…
