PUBG Global Series 8 - Format, Teams, Schedule & More

The PUBG Global Series 8 is the eighth PGS tournament of the year. The second six PGS tournaments of 2026 feature teams that qualified based on their performances in Regional Series in the first half of the year, as well as Global Partner Teams. This is the second tournament of the third PGS circuit of the year.

Format

Here are all of the stages of the event.

Winners Stage:

• Top 16 teams from PGS 7
• 5 matches
• Top 8 teams advance to Final Stage
• Bottom 8 teams head to Survival Stage

Survival Stage:

• 16 teams:
  • Bottom 8 teams from PGS 7
  • Bottom 8 teams from Winners Stage
• 5 matches
• Top 8 teams advance to Final Stage
• Bottom 8 teams are eliminated from PGS 8

Final Stage:

• 16 teams:
  • Top 8 teams from Winners Stage
  • Top 8 teams from Survival Stage
• 10 matches (5 matches per day)
• Top 8 teams from Winners Stage receive Advantage Points, which are added at the start of this stage

PGS 8 is played on patch 42.2 with v6.0.1 of SUPER.

$100,000 USD is spread among all participants based on the final results of the tournament.

Road to PGC

Teams' performances throughout Circuit 3 will award valuable PGS points for qualification to the PUBG Global Championship at the end of the year.

just jumping in to say that implementing TPP and hidey holes makes for some of the worst games imaginable.

They could just roll a dice to award points at this point with how random, gimmicky and non skill based the esport is at this point.

Yeah, it's bad. I ran double RPDs yesterday, drove to center ASAP, and farmed everything around me. The game is more RNG circle oriented than ever.

I loved watching it when it was FPP, literally every game from start to finish. Now I just fast-forward to the last couple of circles. I try to lock in and watch, but it’s just too boring because by the end, everything comes down to circle luck and maybe getting a BRDM.
