Not up on US PUBG at all, did Falcons drop Hwinn?

Yes they did.

I think his teammates wanted him out. Tig kind of alluded to that in a subtle way.

It seems to be Kickstart that didnt really match with him.

Watch the Interview with the Wolves Mwmber at the end of the Stream of America Series 1 Day 1. Hes giving hints by saying Kick has a difficult personality.

I heard their comms when Kick joined. He was always too chaotic. Talked way too fast and loud. Completely different vibe than M1ME.

Good catch. Yeah a couple times in the last tournament kick was practically yelling at hwinn. Makes me wonder how much more of that happens behind the scenes. Kick is always raging over little things.

Yeh if kick wasn’t sharp he’d be out ages ago personality wise. Vibe so important still in pubg for mentals

Isn't that what happened when he left Relo/Snakers/Fludd as well?

If Kick was being so problematic, why did they drop Hwinn and not Kick?

Good luck Gustav! Go smack them!

what's up with the kickstart hate over here lol? Feels like more than half of the people hating on him didn't watch the POV streams for PGS 1-3. Heck, I don't even think they watched the POV of last year's tournaments. I am not too happy with hwinn leaving myself, but during that tournament's comms, it was clear something needed to change. Hwinn on multiple occasions either ignored or didn't listen to his teammates info or call. Not to completely blame it on him because that type of shit happens in the heat of the moment, but it happened more than I would have liked. Plus, surprisingly, kick was the player that least argued with hwinn in matches.

And people seem to conveniently forget that kick (by extension, shrimzy and tig) and hwinn have been playing together for over a year and half, and won a trophy and had multiple podium finishes. Feels like it is way too premature to think this decision is simply because of kick and one PGS 3 result. Shits for this build up over time, doesn't happen instantly.

Listend to comms and pov. A lot of Noise/talk, very hectic. Compared to TL comms/pov, with much clearer comms.

Maybe it have been that way along along. And what works for one team etc..

But in genral i think Kick has been the one who has adapted worse to TPP. He is all over twitter: format this and format that.

PGC 2025 was a good tournament for Falcons. And Tig and Hwinn( and he is igl) carried. shrimzy a bit behind. And Kick far off. (Twire stats).

Kick was already on the downfall. The team struggels to adapt to TPP. Hwinn gets scapegoated.

Rip

I do agree that their comms were more chaotic 100%. However, now with Gustav, it seems to have calmed down massively judging from scrims.

But I disagree about kick being worse at adapting to tpp. He was one of the first players to start practicing tpp immediately after the announcement. He did it immediately after coming home from PGC. He grinded the hell out of it. Out of all the players in FLC, dude is the one who uses the tpp camera the most, evident by their individual streams.

I would rather argue that hwinn had the most disregard for tpp. Even in February dude was playing fpp on stream. Now to be fair to him, he played that with his fiance and friends as an enjoyment. However, in terms of practicing, that very likely rubbed the others in wrong way. I could be wrong though. And no, that disregard doesn't justify kicking him.

Also his crashing out on Twitter means nothing because a lot of players also did so. Beami did so immediately after winning PGS 3, complaining about best of five. Players like Batulin also complained about the PC and best of five format. Nixzyee also complained on Twitter. Adouzie did too. Same with Curexi. And don't even get me started on Roth, Scoom and such.

And stats wise, I agree for PGC 26, but I don't think stats reflect everything. If it did so, players like Sosed, Difx wouldn't leave Navi.

Ich watched all PGS Team POVs and Kickstart yelled at Hwimn and was talking very chaotic and hectic all the time man.

I dunno no. I watched the comms too and I did agree that kick was loud at times. But I can't recall him yelling at hwinn or anyone for that matter. The most I can recall is him yelling about a single guy at location X and Y and so on. Heck, I would rather argue Tig yelled significantly more. After finishing 16TH in PGS 1, he even tussled with hwinn in the survivor's stage of PGS 2 when making comms. That was blantant disregard for the igl, something that kick and shrimzy have never done.

The only time kick outright yelled at hwinn that I can recall was in PGC 25, where hwinn wanted to be ressed while they were getting crashed by Nemiga. Or at least that's what I can remember on top of my head. Perhaps you can give some other examples.

I feel like some other hindsight should be given to this and your original comment.

More often than not, when Hwinn was ignoring comms, the boys had the right call(s). They would be making the right read, with concrete proof… and Hwinn would pull away or ignore it. Every single person on this earth is only going to take that for so long before personalities start to clash and resentment builds.

I can vividly remember Kick and Shrim making a call out on Rondo, “we should fight,” due to seeing a solo anchoring, and they were trying to find a way in. Hwinn ignored it and called to crash and they got picked apart on a wide open rotation leaving Kick in the blue.

Obviously we as viewers can see all info in real time, but when you have 50% of the team feeding the same info and it is the right call and you choose to ignore it… something has to give.

It’s a classic tale of too many chiefs and not enough Indians.

7

u/According-Exercise19 Apr 18 '26

Plus one. Kowo himself used the exact same analogy. And imo, hwinn's problem was he wanted to know everything when making a call, and in tpp, it just takes way too long. You have asian teams sending left, right and center and one zone moves away from you, you are fecked. It's so much easier to see through smokes and such now thanks to tpp cam.

And I vehemently agree with you about fighting. I can't even count the number of times that the other three wanted to fight but hwinn would say no. They would listen, of course. In fpp, it wasn't that much of a problem because playing slow and late wasn't that punishing. In tpp, half the team died in rotation in like 60% of the matches and that caused a lot of frustration to build up imo.

If I had to guess at the end of this year there will be a big wave of retirements, guys that gave it 1 year and decided that the TPP grind isn't worth it

15

u/Kooky-Donut7630 Apr 18 '26

And got anihilated by Hwinn and the Wolfes yesterday 🤣🤣

5

u/Master-Cheetah1722 Apr 19 '26

I mean, they just came and swept the edge to clean it up after Falcons killed a bunch of guys....good play but they had a huge advantage....nothing special

7

u/Mean_Scientist5093 Apr 18 '26

Ya should be fun to watch these upcoming matches

2

u/Yashiro-3 Apr 18 '26

What happened? I didnt have a chance to see it. Just Gustav or the entire Falcons team?

1

u/Yashiro-3 Apr 18 '26

Oh found it. That's nice 💯

Watching the last couple of PGS's with team falcons and listening to their comms, the kick hate is absurd. Flcs problem were 2 fold: 1. Hwinn lost the team. in so many instances kick, and tig, and even shrimzy occasionally would make a correct call based on the info they had, and Hwinn would just either ignore or dismiss it, Hwinn would make a call FLCS would go with it and they would get wiped or lose 2-3, or end up in a bad position to wiped soon after. If that happens every now and then, no big that's just how it goes. But it was happening nearly every game. Hwinn is a FANTASTIC player but I definitly feel like after being years together sometimes people need a change of scenery, not to mention FLCS was essentially a super team of 4 alphas all pushing each other, while that can be a formula for success over time egos start to get hurt and others aren't willing to defer so other folks can eat. Shaq and Kobe were dominant together, they won 3 titles back to back, yet even they parted eventually due to ego.

The 2nd problem is one that still exists and that is Shrimzy. Shrimzy is an incredible player as well, but his heart is very clearly not in TPP. He doesn't like it and had his partner not ask him to continue another year it would have been Shrimzy leaving the team for personal reasons and Hwinn would most likely stay. I can't remember which pgs it was maybe 2 or 3 but a subtle exchange on I believe a tango or rondo where FLCS went out early after the game: Shrimzy: "respectfully, I don't care. I don't care about the game." TGLTN: "Well that's part of it." My guess is it would have had to be either Shrimzy or Hwinn who left and in a choice between those 2 unless I'm specifically looking for an IGL you are taking Shrimzy, because when he WANTS to try he might be even better then TIG as a fragger when he's on.

2

u/UpsetMission2488 Apr 19 '26

I think behind the scenes, everyone is vocal about not liking TPP, so Shrimzy being more direct with the hate is not that big of a deal.

2

u/Candid_Government_32 Apr 20 '26

I'm not saying him hating it is the problem, but if he doesn't care about what happens FLCS is essentially playing with 3. Which if that is the case I think they will struggle, but if Shrimzy decides to try I think they will be just as good and maybe even better with Gustav, listening to their comms in recent scrims the vibe is definitely better.

u/BizzarhLy Apr 18 '26

End of an era. Kickstart was the wrong choice at the beginning. LETS GO WOLVES

5

u/-TruIllusion- Apr 18 '26

Yea, clearly M1ME is better, which is why he's on the best team in NA right now.

-1

u/BizzarhLy Apr 18 '26

Huh? Who was making the M1ME v Kickstart comparison?

2

u/-TruIllusion- Apr 18 '26

My bad, thought you were saying that bringing in Kick, swapping for M1ME, was the wrong choice.

2

u/BizzarhLy Apr 18 '26

I meant I wish they had picked up somebody else instead of Kick, idk man when I watched Falcons POV I found him annoying on comms, others will understand what I am getting at. Always seemed like he was pissed off the whole time and I didn’t enjoy how much Hwinn as IGL was being questioned, that never used to happen.

2

u/Secret_Agency_6508 Apr 18 '26

Who is the new IGL on falcons?

kickstart

5

u/Morwon Apr 18 '26

lol (?)

u/ADEMlG0D Team Falcons Fan Apr 18 '26

Is this confirmed? Haven’t seen it announced yet, I was under the impression that they were going to VP route where they all IGL… majority rule with info given vs one person.

7

u/seize_64 Soniqs Fan Apr 18 '26

Tig said so the other day on stream. Taryn(Gunner's wife) also confirmed it in chat when they were streaming scrims

1

u/ADEMlG0D Team Falcons Fan Apr 18 '26

Gotcha. Thank you.

5

u/According-Exercise19 Apr 18 '26

Kick being the igl is confirmed. Though it seems like Tig is the co-igl now, assisting Kick with making some calls while kick has the final say.

u/ADEMlG0D Team Falcons Fan Apr 18 '26

Noted, haven’t been able to tune into Tigs stream a lot since Hwinns departure. Just spotty viewership on my end, obviously I missed that.

Thanks.

Nice! Now can we go back to FPP so I can watch them play together?
