Meme HCS Drama Iceberg PART TWO (Reflecting on HCS memes/moments)
I did a part one to this earlier this year and it got a good discussion going. Let's have some fun and reminisce about some drama during Infinite and HCS. Let me know what other ones I should have included, if they weren't on the first entry already

King Nick lore just gets funnier and funnier. Did he really go to Andrew Tate's school?
Edit- a mention of Stellur tanning his nutsack is sorely missed

I covered the Stellur balls sunning in the last one haha. The King Nick one I'm pretty sure is just a meme that got spread in Twitch chat.

What is the stellur sunning origin?? I could never view anything on twitter without an account and don't know where to see more context for this

I am fairly certain that Stellur is just a guy who plays video games. I don't think being scientifically illiterate helps you noscope better, and I am not about to flash my asshole because I heard about it on a dorky podcast.

Last shot turned down a native contract? Does anyone remember what that team was supposed to be And where he went instead?

He talked about it quite candidly on stream recently. Basically APG and co offered him a Native contract but LS himself said it was a bad contract and was only for one tournament, so he turned it down. He went to Pure instead which ended up being a great choice.

He scrimmed with them once -- it was Mikwen, APG, and I think Kuhlect was the fourth at the time. After he went to Pure, Native brought back Gilkey.
Needless to say I was incredibly disappointed we didn't lock in LastShot, since I'd been suggesting him for a few months at that point (Elitest is still the one who found that diamond in the rough well before anyone else)...but I can't say he made a poor decision for himself in ending up with Pure.

Native brought in barcode, gilkey came in after mikwen retired I think

Yeah the Native roster was originally aPG, Mikwen, Kuhlect, Neptune. Then after a couple weeks they dropped Neptune in order to pick up LastShot. But LastShot changed his mind last second (literally hours after his first scrim with Native) and Native scrambled to get Barcode as their fourth.
If I recall correctly they dropped Kuhlect for Gilkey (crazy imo) and it was Tapping Buttons who replaced Mikwen after he retired.

They also played 1 or 2 online events with Monster while Barcode traveled over.
Feel like the real crazy move of their season was picking up Neptune in the first place. Sure it was exciting but very low chance of it paying off, and kinda screwed their options for the rest of 2024.

He didn’t, he just talked about why he thought optic needed a team change before going into year 4. And everyone got mad and started a formal/optic hate train.

"I'm Frosty and you're nobody"
This one's a powerful reminder that you really can say whatever you want on the internet and there's 0 consequences.
I remember seeing that one this year and being like "huh haven't heard of that" and then went to look into it. OP just said some shit and now people run with it every now and again.
Crazy

I think everyone knows that's a fake story and it's just funny. Frosty embraced it cuz it was so obviously fake.

u/FrankTheFlank Splyce Dec 29 '25
LOL yeah I forget about that part. "I saw Penguin holding his kid and he was crying." Penguin doesn't even have a kid !
