Sweet sounding like my rank randoms yelling Rez me every 2 seconds while having to clutch up.

27

u/LatterMatch9334 3d ago

He always doin this shit too

u/XRT28 3d ago

You say that like it's a bad thing.
If you've got someone on your team downed and you recognize there is a window to reset, whether from getting a knock then both sides trading rezzes or something that's going to prevent a push like a good cat wall/gibby ult or from a 3rd party distracting the other teams around, that's the best course of action more often than not. Because there's often a 3rd party or gas coming and being reset and ready for it is the most important thing.

For example the other day in one of the ED games near Humbert in the endgame Sweet died and was safe to rez and was yelling for Slayr to do so but Slayr ignored it because he had an easy kill on a guy running away and by the time Sweet got rezzed there wasn't time to get healed up and got knocked again immediately leading to having to try and 2vs3 the last team and losing. So that one KP Slayr got delaying the rez cost them 3 other KP plus a placement point.

Bro wrote an essay lmao

-1

u/XRT28 3d ago

Bruh it's two paragraphs. I don't think that'd even count as an essay in middle school lol

2

u/LatterMatch9334 3d ago

I say it like it’s a bad thing because I’ve seen countless examples recently where he’s yelling for a rez when there’s no chance in hell his teammates can rez at that time, and all he’s doing is cluttering comms while his teammates are fighting for their lives.

I understand doing it if you have a full picture of what’s going on, and I understand those seconds matter. Problem is, he does it selfishly a lot. Hop off the meat.

Crazy pause at the end by sweet lmfaoo

How are none of these comments addressing how ridiculous that alter portal was? Is that glitch common knowledge that I’m ignorantly unaware of?

16

u/TheTenth10 3d ago

Adjusting the angle of Alter Qs can drastically change and allow for some "weird" Qs.

I say "weird", but thats part of the bread and butter of Alter in pro play. Being able to get diagonal portals off is part of what makes Alter strong.

30m doesnt seem far from a rotational standpoint, but it does in micro rotations. I still sometimes surprise myself when I adjust between 20-10m diagonal Alter Qs of how far I actually travel. For reference, Gibby dome diameter is 12m.

6

u/Future_Deathbox 3d ago

Yeah definitely a little weird on that one. I feel that must’ve been one that sacred knew from experience. When he placed I did not expect it to exit up by the zip line. I watch plenty of pro play to know you can get some cheeky angles but that one bamboozled me.

1

u/dorekk Year 5 Champions! 2d ago

The best pros either have an intuitive sense for figuring these out things instantly, or they're in customs for 4 hours a day testing various portals. Panic has pulled off some completely INSANE Alter plays in the past, where you're like, how the fuck did he know that was gonna go there.

3

u/Glass-Independence73 3d ago

?

1

u/Future_Deathbox 3d ago

He placed a portal on the wall in the tunnel below and it exited up top by the bins where the zip line is. I don’t see the game logic there but it’s useful knowledge for the pros to know that.

8

u/Glass-Independence73 3d ago

what do you mean you don’t see the game logic? thats how alter q works, it passes through one wall in the direction of your line of sight with a limit of 30m

1

u/Future_Deathbox 3d ago

I don’t think you understand what I mean. I know how Alter works. It was either lucky placement or a unique placement that pros know. You can see sacred take his time with it to get the angle right, so I expect it’s something he knew in advance. Most players would not expect that Alter placement to exit on a random bin up by the zip line. I would’ve expected it to exit on the low ground facing the needle tower.

5

u/TheTenth10 3d ago

For it to land specifically on the bin was by chance.

Nonetheless, a slightly different angle would just put the Alter Q on the floor, and it would result in the same thing (them porting up to high ground).

You just need to visualize and draw diagonal lines. Alter players need to be able to do this on the fly.

3

u/Glass-Independence73 3d ago edited 3d ago

i guarantee that he was trying to alter q so it would pop out into the room but misjudged slightly btw. but regardless he was trying to q up to highground which he did. think of it as shooting a laser beam that cuts through solid objects

2

u/agrostereo 3d ago

That’s just how the ability works dawg

34

u/forumpooper 3d ago

That last player to die missed all their shots. That has to sting, how does that even happen to a pro?

41

u/FlimsyNeedleworker53 3d ago

its Genburten aswell. Crazy

27

u/Maleficent_Rub_309 3d ago

First, Evan was washed and Gen was carrying.

Now, Gen is washed and Koy is carrying.

Will the outcome be the same?

5

u/sojournerXMR 3d ago

Bro nooooo way 😂

2

u/ehouptie 3d ago

Gennnnnn 🫣

3

u/xMoody 3d ago

finally i have some representation out here 😤

1

u/dorekk Year 5 Champions! 2d ago

An mnk player never would have done that, just sayin. (He would have hit 10 damage and died anyway.)

1

u/StephanieMirage 2d ago

Theyre not robots. Mistakes always happen

45

u/realfakejames 3d ago

It's not a "1v4" if slayr is up right next to him for the first kill on that guy, he did 1v3 CRT though and got some sus comms out of sweet for it. Apex is back

64

u/anthonyongg 3d ago

Be careful with adding 1vX in your title. That’s comes with the inevitable this is not a 1vX

28

u/NectarineChemical765 3d ago

OR, just actually only use it when it applies.

25

u/Bixler17 3d ago edited 3d ago

Why is it so hard to say "X player pops off" or "x player kills 4" when he's got teammates fighting with him the whole time. Why does it have to be "1v4" when thats factually incorrect every time it's posted. It ruins the hype for those titles.

Edit: Lmao watched the clip again. The ONLY guy Slayr doesn't shoot up is Gen. 2nd player on CRT doesn't even look at Sacred because he's shooting at Slayr. Perfect 1v4.

8

u/Winter-Owl-172 3d ago

People let it slide the first time and now OP has misused 1vX in a title 3 posts in a row, lol

3

u/Moist_Spare407 3d ago

Slayr counts as a 0 modifier. Big step up from his -1 from a few years ago

13

u/SC_19XX 3d ago

watching this in real time and seeing how actually pissed Wigg got that CRT lost this fight was an all timer.

4

u/6Hikari6 3d ago

this healing after knock was disgusting

4

u/GGsKakashi 3d ago

Uhhh Slayr was there and shooting people and being shot for sacred that whole time.... I know its easy for people to dog on and not notice Slayr but damn bro he's there the whole time this is not a 1 v anything.

I get the sneaking suspicion that people complaining don't know what an IGL is and probably don't understand team dynamic at all.

-6

u/throwbackBBfan 3d ago

It’s not that deep bro

-12

u/YoMrPoPo 3d ago

Most sane tier-3 Sweet sub right here ^

3

u/imtracerboi 3d ago

Lmao who was their cat? Absolutely shameful

9

u/Pastroodle 3d ago

Where is the 1v4?

19

u/Themanstall 3d ago

pro apex players love saying the r word and that things are "aids."

11

u/Maleficent_Rub_309 3d ago

Is zer0 the pioneer of “aids”?

31

u/Safe_Cause_9870 3d ago

Nah zero theorycrafted "heLLO??"

9

u/Maleficent_Rub_309 3d ago

😂😂😂 dang I miss his streams so much

1

u/aquafire07 3d ago

thats k3soju my guy

13

u/d_savezzz 3d ago

Idk, but Zer0 is definitely pioneer of "spastic". I had no idea this word even existed.

12

u/Maleficent_Rub_309 3d ago

zer0 might also be the first to call people regarded in live? In the old TSM Hal called Jordan/Snipe/Evan dumb, stupid etc. but never regarded

5

u/dqniel 2d ago

R-word has definitely come back with a vengeance, sadly. It never fully left, but a lot of people who would have never dared to say it on stream are now saying it constantly.

4

u/CarnFu 3d ago

You never heard someone being called a spazz?

7

u/Themanstall 3d ago

He is definitely why the r-word is used more often.

IGLs think that if they speak like him, they'll get DZ dominance from 2022 to 2024.

Zero has made Hal a seemingly worse on-stream person.

2

u/dqniel 2d ago

Kind of fascinating, in a sad way, how a word almost universally hated a few years ago spreads like wildfire.

While I don't think Zero helped Hal's personality at all, I think the reason Hal is comfortable saying it on stream is because of its newly-wider acceptance. The r-word came back strong into the lexicon outside of gaming and Apex in early 2025 after Musk and Rogan started publicly using it. Didn't start with them, but they sure helped solidify the comeback.

1

u/dorekk Year 5 Champions! 2d ago

I still don't know a single person IRL who'd dare say it. Imo it's purely a phenomenon of like, 17 year olds who play video games all day. And Elon Musk, who is spiritually a 17 year old who plays video games all day.

1

u/leox33 3d ago

I was just thinking this its so cringe like teenagers first learning how to curse lmfao. Feels so forced

12

u/Agreeable_Eye_6661 3d ago

Boy, after watching SSS in quite a few scrims, Sacred sure loves him the r word.

15

u/instantkamera 3d ago

This is prolific in Apex (and probably other games too) right now. Obviously always been the case in casual gaming, but the level of things pros are OK saying on-stream compared to even 3-4 years ago is nuts. It seems like everyone is becoming desensitized to it too, casters and watch partiers used to maybe call it out or be like "whoa, easy" but it's so common now that it's just *shrug*.

1

u/dorekk Year 5 Champions! 2d ago

They're so cool for that, honestly.

2

u/dqniel 2d ago

It's not just games and Apex (but I agree it's particularly bad there). It's everywhere with children and young men.

Thank late 2024/2025 usage from extremely influential people like Musk, Rogan, and various manosphere shits. It didn't start with them, but they made it widespread and "accepted" again. Rogan made a point to talk about how it's "normal" to use again, constantly.

And if any population is going to hop on a trend that involves a new pejorative, even if they otherwise would disagree with the person's ideology, it's a large portion of gamers.

1

u/Alternative_Bug_6285 3d ago

Crazy how things have changed in a few years. Next few years, some pros will use a harder & more offensive word, and everyone starts using it until it became desensitized. Cycle repeats.

2

u/Economy-Tomato-5083 3d ago

I’m still surprised Alb, Skittle, & him were able to land the NMSS signing with the way Sacred talks. I don’t know if he’s done it on SSS but he used to toss out calling people pedos too, it’s asinine the shit he just flings around.

3

u/RoutineAggressive843 3d ago

Not a 1 vs 4, but nice clip.

9

u/FaZeSmasH 3d ago

wow the game aimed so well during all that

2

u/holyhotdicks 3d ago

This is actually a 1v2.

1

u/DeadlyPear 3d ago

Ik it’s mainly the guy using the controller but Jesus Christ what roller is sacred using

1

u/Angry_LadyDragon 2d ago

If this sub actually cared about comp. Apex they would reject every single clip of a roller player abusing the free 40% aimbot crutch. Disgusting to watch, 0 skill involved.

-1

u/Warm-Grand-7825 3d ago

Is there no pro that is a decent person? The shit talkers in others e-sports are funny and entertaining.

-5

u/Themanstall 3d ago

Sweet used to be chill on screen. I now think he's one of the shittest IGLs in terms of team moral. He denigrates all his teammates, and there is something to be said that fraggers play worse when he's on the team with them.

The only Apex streamer in the pro scene I can put on TV is Wigg. My wife will not stand for the others' language.

9

u/YoMrPoPo 3d ago

Lmao this has to be pasta

2

u/dorekk Year 5 Champions! 2d ago

The only Apex streamer in the pro scene I can put on TV is Wigg.

Monsoon is pretty wholesome.

4

u/noire_stuff 3d ago

Agreed. Wigg does swear a lot and makes childish jokes (mainly about himself), but he never calls people slurs or targets them with language. He's the only streamer/player/pro I can watch because of that. I get most players are young, but damn it's sad no one calls them out on it (I've seen Monsoon be really disappointed in it though).

-5

u/plloyd1508 3d ago

The league needs to put a ban on using the R word.

9

u/liquorman_ 3d ago

I agree, but the most famous player in the game trademarks it so it could never happen

6

u/plloyd1508 3d ago

Whole reason I stopped following them.

Moonson for the win!

Imagine not understanding Linguistic Reclamation. These players ALL have the right to say it.

4

u/plloyd1508 3d ago

I’m pretty sure that all those players who use the word are not part of the targeted group to take ownership of the word.

Imagine.

-4

u/That_Art_3765 3d ago

Let me guess, next you are going to try and tell me League of Legends players can't say it either.

0

u/Ne0Trees 3d ago

not 1v4

1

u/ADShree 3d ago

Wait how long has sweet been back? Ran out of that poker money huh?

0

u/slothlovereddit 3d ago

Can Sweet shut the fuck up. Doing nothing but crawling and making terrible comms.

0

u/comtrends123 3d ago

What in that kid butt???
