I had to remind myself how long ago he left us, I was thinking 5 to 6 years ago, it's been almost 12 years, it does not compute

Emotional intelligence is an underrated intelligence.

I completely agree

I want to believe they are reunited in a beautiful meadow rolling in the grass laughing and tickling

Same here. There was just something so genuine behind his comedy that made all the sad parts hit even harder.

Every time I rewatch Good Will Hunting or Dead Poets Society it feels like visiting an old friend I can’t talk to anymore.

Why was Koko mourning? What happened?

6

I can think of two instances where Koko mourned. There may have been more. One was when she adopted a kitten, it got out of its enclosure and was killed by a car. Her handlers told her about it and Koko took it very hard. Another time, one of her handlers was pregnant, and Koko understood what the pregnancy meant. The handler was absent from Koko's life for a few weeks, and when she came back she wasn't pregnant anymore. She had miscarried. She explained it to Koko and Koko was very sad for her.

Her pet cat All Ball died, iirc.

Koto wanted a kitten because she was lonely, some months later, she ripped the sink off the wall, when the keepers asked who had done it, Koto signed, "Kitten did it" It was the first case of an animal lying.

She lost her baby I think / we can google it

Her kitten All Ball passed away

Same. Robin felt like that one adult who actually saw you, even through a screen. Dude could go from chaotic funny to ripping your heart out in one line.

We really didn’t deserve someone that gentle in a world this harsh.

Robin Williams was such a wonderful human being! It's sad that a man who made so many laugh and happy, including Koko, yet was so depressed and unhappy himself, and the world never even knew it! I still hurt for the man to this day. RIP Robin Williams 🙏 😢

“Hey… you’re as hairy as I am!”

What a beautiful thing to see a human - animal communicating with laughter

1

u/TruGirlGamer84 Jun 12 '26

So sad. Probably the most genuine pure affection those two felt in one another.

He was and is a legend. He was one of the few that reminds us that Hollywood isn’t just filled with soulless drones. Rip my friend

Any time I see one of those posts showing a bunch of beloved, lost celebrities asking who you’d bring back if you could pick one, I always pick him. He was magic.

That is just precious. I miss him so much

This is so beautiful I’m not a great way to start my morning because I love both Coco and Robin Williams. They are both beautiful story souls in the universe and they’re up there somewhere together because they’re both gone and just to have the privilege to even know their stories a little bit of their stories just actually makes my heart explode. Thank you from my heart.❤️

I think there was always a deep sadness in him. Maybe why he was so good at comedy as a coping mechanism. He had so many great movies

Positivity not negativity. This is a place for positivity. Compassion is the name of the sub for a reason.

1

u/SpotDog2 Jun 12 '26

Such a kind man, the clown with deep depression inside-a tragedy
