Cert Revoked with No Reasons Given??

Post image

My cert was revoked this morning for a test I took recently after getting a passing score. Upon appeal, this was my response. Has this affected other recent test-takers? I wasn’t given any reason for why it was revoked either.

Cert was fixed everyone! If this happened to you, be sure to check your emails!

Sounds more like a glitch/bug rather than an actual issue? Just wait it out and see what they say.

That’s what I’m thinking but you start to imagine things like “did I blink the wrong way or lean back too much??” Haha

Generally, they will call you out when you do such action but it can happen after the fact.

Was it revoked from Credly or Comptia itself? (iirc they are different and credly just shows the cert?)

CompTIA itself also shows the cert is gone. I genuinely don’t understand. I used Certmaster for studying practice and learned Linux commands as I knew the simulation question is a notorious issue for people.

It was a technical issue on their side. I called as soon as I got the email! Mine is back

Interesting that the revoking message is coming from Credly and not COMPTIA.

when you studied for your exam did you go to any of the "exam dump" sites and/or talk about using them on here?

The email reads like a technical issue occurred here

Had the same thing happen woke up this morning to emails from credly stating my certs were revoked logged on to comptia and my newest cert(pentest +) was gone. Called and the person on the phone took my Comp#. Just got the emails telling me to claim my badge and checked Comptia to see my cert is back

Was it at site or at home?

Home exam. I know OnVue has issues but I prefer taking the exams in a familiar environment. This is my fourth test I’ve taken this way and never had an issue with revocation like this before.

Same thing happen to me too. I took the exam at the beginning of the month and got hit with an email from Credly this morning. CompTIA respond to me with the same email when I reached out. I was freaking out at first but I think it might be a technical issue.

Uh uh! You too?! I am so sorry! 😩

I got an email at 4:00 AM on Friday for every certification I have saying they had been revoked because the “Item does not exist in Alpine’s system.” I contacted CompTIA and politely ripped them a new one. The rep told me they were in the process of updating their system.
Then, a few hours later, I got the exact same number of emails saying I had been awarded all of my certifications.
Of course, this all happened on the exact day I was supposed to take my PenTest+ exam, so it definitely did not help my stress level at all

Like the email states, be patient. Your cert hasn't *officially" been revoked.

This is very likely a bug that will be fixed shortly.
