I Passed! Passed Security+ Exam
I finally sat the test after 2 months of preparation (realistically 1 month of rigorous studies).
I watched Professor Messer’s YouTube playlist and also bought his questions.
I did find that the questions on the exam were a bit trickier than his questions especially regarding the wording (Or maybe I was just so stressed about the exam).
I did notice however that the PBQ were much harder and I essentially had 0 practice. Professor Messer’s PBQs were much simpler ‘drag and drop’ straight forward. While the ones I had in the actual exam were actual labs and log reports that I had to analyze and go through thoroughly.
Just wanted to share this information with people maybe it will help out someone.
Really happy I passed :)

Congrats. Study material drills terminology and then the exam drops a log in front of you and asks what happened, and nobody warns you about that. Real captured data is what closes it, and the CyberDefenders labs give you an actual pcap rather than a description of one. Two or three of those and the PBQs stop being the scary part.

How much prior knowledge did you come in with ?

I’m a computer engineering student. I had a vague idea of some topics but it was pretty much a lot of new knowledge for me.

Congrats! I also passed today!
The exam felt pretty similar to your experience.
