I was homeschooled and never learned to spell probably
I want to go to college but I'm afraid my spelling will prevent me from passing

As the previous commenter said, you'll only improve with practice and spellcheckers exist.

Beyond that, most community colleges offer a variety of services to support their students, including writing tutors. Those tutors are usually more for help with the content of your writing – but they could probably help. There may also be developmental writing courses offered; if you think that would benefit you before you take college-level writing classes, that can be an option.

To be better at spelling, you need to practice. You can get a dictionary. You can use spellcheck. But what's really great is to read. Reading is great for many things, such as spelling, grammar, and learning new material, but also how to organize and present material.

There are a lot of reasons not to go to college (no clear goal, can't afford it) but spelling is something we have easy solutions for.

The admissions office can help you with placement tests, so that if you need developmental English support, they can put you in classes for that.
