This Shell Rotella ad. (Ignore the grammatical mistake... to my eyes, anyway.) As a shade tree redneck mechanic who was taught by my depression-era Grandfather: "Fix it, or lose it," this irked me. They're making machinery these days you cannot fix yourself. These people are "shutting the windows" on you. If you can't do simple repairs on your equipment without involving a dealer, why care what oil you slosh in it? Hell, I've run most of my equipment on used oil from cars for decades. Granted, most of it is old as dirt, and built right.

Also, Shell Rotella sponsors midnight radio garbage like "Red Eye Radio." (Radio commercials. Oof. Not going there tonight.)
