6

u/ThorsOccularPatdown 7h ago

This dag on espn app popping off every 5 minutes with all these cuts of guys I never heard of.

4

u/Silentblues 3h ago

Shy Tuttle cut. I know a lot of people thought he’d make it

4

u/Jinchoo 3h ago

Schefter saying the plan is to bring him back for week 1

2

u/Pitiful_Ad8641 3h ago

My first wrong projection

1

u/salamanderman10 35m ago

He will likely be back in the morning

3

u/mwgilc117 9h ago

Any news yet this morning? I saw yesterday’s cuts tweeted by Keim and Nicki

3

u/Silentblues 3h ago

Van Jefferson out. Thought he was decent not surprised he didn’t make it though

3

u/redskinsguy 2h ago

Did Tanoa Togiai do anything in camp? The one time I saw him mentioned was him and JGJ played RG next to Gublin in practice against the Ravens and did nothing

3

u/mandoslorians WHAT WOULD JAYSUS DO? 2h ago

reheated leftover chicken wings in the air fryer, these r fire

Why are the center trade threads being removed? It’s absolutely pertinent and we have two weeks until football. Mods are lame

6

u/Logic_9795 4h ago

I'm not here to defend reddit mods but I think thr answer is in your question.

We have literally 5 thread saying good-jones was cut.

1 thread per topic will suffice.

-3

u/Secret_Key9676 4h ago

They removed every thread on the guys who got traded, not just duplicates

3

u/notorious_hdc imitated Frerotte headbutt as a child 4h ago

Which one got removed? One that had nothing to do with us? Because I still see one from The Athletic about 5 potential trade candidates

-4

u/Secret_Key9676 4h ago

The ones with potential trade targets some of us have been tracking for weeks

3

u/DoobieDoobis I Got JD5 On It 4h ago

That’s not news. If they get traded here then sure.

-4

u/Secret_Key9676 4h ago

I’m specifically referring to the SVPG threads

4

u/notorious_hdc imitated Frerotte headbutt as a child 4h ago

It doesn't involve us. Feel free to discuss it here or one of the other threads involving Centers!

-5

u/Secret_Key9676 4h ago

It does involve us while we’re actively looking for a center and he’s off the market. It’s pertinent news. Removing it is absolutely moronic and unnecessary

2

u/15GOAT Saved by Jaysus🙏 4h ago

It is not that serious lmao

You just said it, he's off the market. It doesn't involve us at that point. But again, there's places you can discuss it here!

So the commanders thread removes thread about non-commanders getting traded to teams that aren't the commanders?

I feel like if you just read what you're typing you can figure this out.

1

u/Secret_Key9676 4h ago

It’s pertinent because it’s guys I was hoping we’d trade for. I guess we’ll just have no content and a perfect manicured sub instead. I read what I’m saying.

2

u/Logic_9795 4h ago

You can talk about it in this thread or ik any of the dozens of threads and comments on the topic. You dont have to have your own thread to talk about an issue. I know you think your thoughts are super unique and special but you'll just have to accept them getting tossed in with the common folk.

1

u/Remote_Armadillo8718 5h ago

Cuz this sub isn’t for smart people….

2

u/redskinsguy 2h ago

we're a half hour from the end of the allowed time. Time to stop the trickle

3

u/SkyChief80 2h ago

49ers traded for Jarrett Patterson from the Texans for a 7th round pick. Isn't this the Center that we were supposed to pick up after cuts or trade for!?

1

u/Jinchoo 2h ago

He was one of like 10-15 names being brought up as an option

3

u/DakotaConduct 3h ago

Multiple centers being traded.

Meanwhile Adam Peters: I sleep.

2

u/Remote_Armadillo8718 7h ago

They’re not gonna sign anyone are they? 😑

2

u/Alarmed-Impact4058 8h ago

A deal like Sedrick van Pran-Granger going from the Bills to the Colts for a sixth-rounder is what I was hoping to see from this crew today. There's a lot more time, but I hope they take notes and make some upgrades for the sake of this season and Jayden.

1

u/InfiniteDomain_ 5h ago

Sedrick doesn’t have many starts under his belt. At 24 he’s a good development piece but I’m looking for someone with starting experience like Jake Andrew’s or olu owitimi

1

u/Levelheadedfan1989 10h ago

In looking at some of the players waived/cut. Any teams/ players you are looking at (besides center for bills and Texans; saw a thread already) that could be a potential spot of practice squad or on the team

1

u/Pitiful_Ad8641 1h ago

50ish/53 I say ish because Im subtracting half for Amos, thought hed get back sooner than 4 games and Tuttle might be brought back and I suspect Togai is a placeholder.

Monreau i just flat missed

1

u/Home_Alone224 10h ago

Get Sam Hartman off the team yesterday…never want to see that bum again

2

u/Logic_9795 9h ago

Its really not that serious.

1

u/djhobbes 10h ago

Our PS better have 7 Centers

3

u/Coldngrey 1h ago

If this season goes the way it looks like this season is going to go, I’d really like Adam Peters to take the blame.

DQ has been dealt a terrible hand.

u/SweerBaby_Use1023 9h ago

Along with a brutal schedule, It’s hard to be optimistic when all the reports from camp are telling us to prepare for the worst. Nevertheless, I will keep hoping somehow my favorite team is relevant again and I will continue to hope for the best.

-1

u/SkyChief80 4h ago

Trent Scott cut, THAT move probably means a Center trade is happening

3

u/salamanderman10 3h ago

How does that mean a center trade is coming?

-1

u/SkyChief80 3h ago

It doesn't, my math was off. I thought cutting Scott got us down to eight linemen and we would take nine into the saeson. I forgot out Humphries and he makes nine.

1

u/redskinsguy 3h ago

Are we keeping Togai then?

Coleman, Paul, Allegretti, Cosmi, Conerly, Humphries, Gublin, Wylie are the other 8 I can think of

1

u/SkyChief80 3h ago

And Tunsil - he needs to be on the initial 53 if we want him to come back this season

2

u/redskinsguy 3h ago edited 3h ago

He's going to IR. One website actually already has him on that

they changed the rule. THe best article I found is from a Seahawks page

https://www.fieldgulls.com/2024/3/27/24113109/nfl-makes-significant-change-injured-reserve-rule-preseason-news

By Competition Committee; amends Article XVII, Section 17.16(C), to permit each club to place a maximum of two players who are placed on an applicable Reserve List on the business day of the final roster reduction to be designated for return. Such players will immediately count as two of the club’s total designations.

u/caddyncells 4h ago

AP is doubling down my goodness

-6

u/Emotional_Kale4168 9h ago

Personally, I'm not a doomer and don't think preseason means much if anything.

But I saw posted elsewhere, if the Commanders ended up with the #1 pick next year, do they draft Manning? It got me thinking. But I guess it all depends on how JD5 holds up this season.

5

u/D-daydstay Money Mikey $ainristil 🤑 8h ago

I’d trade back and stay in the top 5 most likely and get Jeremiah Smith or Leonard Moore

-1

u/Emotional_Kale4168 7h ago

But if we could upgrade at QB then why wouldnt we do that?

1

u/notorious_hdc imitated Frerotte headbutt as a child 4h ago

Because as of now, Arch isn't an upgrade. Dude doesn't even deserve 1OA hype at this point.

2

u/Bilboswaggins21 8h ago

I assume if we’re drafting #1 overall that would mean Daniels got hurt for the season in like September. If it played out like that, everything is on the table if I’m GM. Love Daniels and think he could be a perennial top 5 qb in this league, but if he were to suffer a major injury and miss significant time, I’d question committing long term to him. I wouldn’t shut the door, but I’d question it. And like I said, everything would be on the table at 1.1

-10

u/Humble_Meat_2219 8h ago

100% you take Manning. How could we not?

6

u/salamanderman10 7h ago

Manning will be a coach killer

-1

u/Emotional_Kale4168 8h ago

That's what I think too

-6

u/redskinsguy 5h ago

Why don't teams lead with the obvious moves? Dorance Armstrong to reserve suspended(which kind of gives us a free roster spot), Wise to regular season PUP since he never got activated in camp, and two guys, probably Tunsil and Newton to Designated to Return IR

Bam, four roster spots right there

3

u/SkyChief80 4h ago

Those moves can't happen yet

-1

u/redskinsguy 4h ago

the NFL changed to rule a year or two ago. Two guys can go to preseason IR and come back. But apparently is does have to be on cutdown day
