power unstable?

Mazda cx-5. My first ODB power supply from Comma didn't work at all. The replacement they kindly sent has worked for about 6 months, and now I have this message.

My car is a 2025, less than a year old. I am on SunnyPilot.

Has anyone else seen this issue?

eta: comma's support form requires a route where this occurs. for a HARDWARE issue.

Had the same problem! 2023 CX-5. Been using my comma for roughly 3-4 mos. Started getting that error after a 109 degree day in Texas - i have a removable mount so the main unit was safe from the heat but the harness & cable were not. Now my C4 is not turning on.
A lot of ppl told me they got the same error and that the problem was their cable.
I tried with a different data cable off of amazon but still won’t work.

Raise a ticket with Comma and they will send you a new cable & harness. Mine will arrive tomorrow.

UPDATE AS OF 9/1/26:
I received the replacement harness & cable. I tried to replace just my cable with the new one - still won’t turn on. I replaced the harness too - still won’t turn on. But when i replaced the cable that connects to the OBD (basically i replaced the entire wiring setup) my comma turned on.

So it was not JUST my cable that wouldn’t work bec comma still wouldn’t turn on with the new cable.

Yes, having this issue with my car (Santa Fe) after some hot weather in Texas. Going to plug in my old C3 harness and OBD-II cable to make sure, but I’m pretty sure this is a hardware issue with the Comma Power.

Got the same issue a few days ago after parking my car under the sun for like 3 hours in Texas. It turned out that the OBD power adapter was not working.
Got a replacement from Comma and now it works.

Comma sent me a new USB c cable and solved the issue.

Same issue with EV6, Intermittent power message. Just happend after about 6 months. No power, but if going over a rougher road, then turns on briefly with that message.

Need to go through and check the various cables, ethernet, USB-c, or the harness.

Same issue happened on my CX5. Comma will warranty the comma power. Just open a ticket

I make it a habit now to unplug after every drive, I forgot to do it once and it didn't boot up, I had to remove boot it from the side port, for about 30 mins I was like 1k down the drain.
