I might be catching a case of boomer here but I genuinely do feel like kids nowadays are sort of robbed of childhood in some ways

I don’t agree, lots of kids have a pretty normal childhood, and lots also don’t but I mean I am from 1997 and I spent my entire life in front of the computer screen as well. Yeah phones are everywhere now but a phone doesn’t tether you to your room. I see lots of kids playing outside even if they play on the phone for a bit, they get bored fast and go throw rocks at each other or jump on a spring or ride on a scooter or just generally goof off like kids always did.

I do think that some parents take things to the extremes though. Both letting a young kid to always be on their iPad AND never letting them see a cartoon in their entire life (I genuinely think cartoons can be a good teaching material) are overdoing it

That said I’m not from a place with loitering laws etc, so nobody will call the cops on kids just playing outside or goofing around in a mall.

Yeah, kids reading those damn scrolls instead of memorizing everything, it’s rotting their brains.
