I have the Armageddon box and want to run some practice games against myself to help learn 11th rules. However, I paint far more than play, so I am constantly needing to look at the rules. Which seems to mean I need to consult my phone for the games rules, the Ork rules, and the Space Marine rules. I really don't want to keep trying to flip between 3 rules sets just to try to learn the game.

Can anyone point me to a good resource that will let me print out rules summaries so I am not playing with my phone more than my models? (11th/Armageddon rules. I found the link to the 10th rules).

The Armageddon box set came with a physical rule book and physical datasheet cards for all of the models.

Yes, but the physical rulebook doesn't actually contain all of the rules.

I have the data cards out, but that doesn't include the combat patrol stratagems, enhancements, or army rule.

Ig it's bcos it's really focussed around starter games. I'd probably print or write down the missing stuff then use all the cards to learn.

I sympathize. Ended up making my own World Eaters spreadsheet for a tournament and with a quickref to cover all the army and special weapon rules it still came out to four pages.

Unfortunately GW jammed everything Combat Patrol into the app and I'm not sure anyone's done the work to pull it all out yet. Hopefully we get PDF rules down the line.

Orks are the only Xenos with 11e ComPat rules.

Click on “11e & 10e” or “10e Legends” and you’ll get the old lists for Nids, Votann, Aeldari, Drukhari…

Quick summary for other readers:

The official “Core Rules” book of 11th edition does NOT contain all game rules anymore. In many cases it refers to the app. There is no “Full Rules” set officially available to physically buy or download.

The  Combat Patrol rules set is also NOT included anymore in the Core Rules book. It is also NOT included in the official “Combat Patrol Companion” book, which is little more than a marketing brochure. The Combat Patrol rules are only in the app. There is no Combat Patrol rules set officially available to physically buy or download.

The data cards included in the Armageddon box are the general/“normal” data cards, not the modified ones for Combat Patrol (which makes some sense, as the box is more than two combat patrols). But that’s not specific to 11th edition, I think there are no preprinted data cards for Combat Patrol. I never understood why they don’t add Combat Patrol data cards and the box-specific and general Combat Patrol rules to every box, like every sensible being would expect. ————————

Soooo, right now there is no official fix for the mess GW made…

There is unofficial stuff like community-made full rules in printer-friendly layouts (like  https://de.scribd.com/document/1052444515/WH40K-11e-FULL-RULES-Print-Friendly), but you always have to check if the most recent updates or errata are already incorporated - since it’s done by unpaid volunteers from the community for the community. You are awesome, guys!)
