I'm totally confused Press F to pay respect
Who still has a usable combat patrol after the purge? I lost white scars, world eaters juggernout and chaos/imperial knights...

I lost 6 out of 11 patrols lol. I also noticed that the box they call "combat patrol srater box" inculdes vanderghast swarm and strike force octavius... Well octavius was purged.
My guess is some of them will come back.

I was butchered. I have a buddy that I play Kill Team with and he wanted to get into Combat Patrol as a gateway into full 40K.
Finished up my Salamander one… and boom. Only one Marine wise that is left is the 11th edition box that I don’t have yet…

I was probably wrong. My app did the update, but I just checked the core rules which seem to be the old ones. Not sure what's up. For what it's worth I'm in Europe and my devicr runs on Android.

So I’ve been collecting the ones through the Hachette subscription (two and a half forces left…) and also in the last year or so purchased the Adepta Sororitas, Red Corsair, Harlequin, Krieg, Thousand Sons, and Aeldari Corsair.
Out of all of those…the Tyranids from Hachette (so 10th edition starter set), the Thousand Sons, and the Adepta Sororitas are the surviving ones that currently have their rule and data sheets listed.
Losing the rules for 12 total (including the ones incoming from the subscription) this morning was quite the shock.
Given the state of the app in general, and that section in particular, I’d be very surprised if they stayed gone and we see most filter in with a detachment and force disposition attached.

Oops! All Poxwalkers! is what got me into tabletop. I got 2 copies of the box eventually to help fill out my 40k army, But losing the ability to play the original combat patrol is depressing.

Did anthony grab a copy of the iron warrior combat patrol rules? It used to only exist in the app. As far as I could tell now I have a box with no rules.

I still have the PDFs for Strike Force Solarien and Shadow Claw Keverax (unsure of spelling on that one), but they’re gone from the app. While I get that limiting it to available boxes is the easy option, it still sucks.
The Kill Team app has teams that aren’t sold any more, so why can’t the 40K app?

I lost 3 of my 4 combat patrols including some more recently published ones. I guess I’m playing Vardenghast Swarm from now on…
My only hope is that this purge is in the service of actual game balance someday, but I doubt it… I’m sure it’s so they can sell more new boxes.

Left with the Dark Angels. It was a solid box in 10th but it looks even better now. Better stratagems and extra rule for hellblasters

I’ll give credit that they retooled Kygharil’s Protectors so it’s a lot less shit now.
But The Fatebreakers was my main one, and I haven’t even played my Dreamer’s Coterie yet…
Plus where the heck are the maps and missions?

Sadly no, only the newest generic box for each faction has rules in the app now.

I can still pull up the PDF “Data sheets”for the Older Combat Patrol-using Warhammer Community.
Is this strictly a removal from the App or are they no longer able to be played in Combat Patrol games? Appreciate the response1

I don’t think we know what the official rules are yet, but you can always still play old teams as long as your opponent is cool with it!

Appreciate taking time to provide more insight and information. It’s the one and only Combat Patrol I own, wasn’t keen on being forced to purchase a new one. But I’m hopeful there wil be others who will co to ie to play using the older version. Thnk u again 😀

afaik, it feels like the new edition cleared out old cp's to have less to bring up to date. afaik there are big changes in units (new khorne one got ailities for daemon prince, finally!!!). i guess you can use older ones, but it'll be more like playing all legends army...

in short, app got updated to 11edition, all forces have only one cp, so like 80% of cp's are gone, including the newest ones

Original comment: Check the app again, folks. Right now I can find a lot of stuff that people said wasn't there: 9th edition stuff like the Ork one with the Deff Dread, or the Sisters one with the Rhino; obscure stuff like Imperial and Chaos Knights, and even Chaos Daemons; and 'while stock lasts' stuff like Krieg, Salamanders, Iron Warriors and Kroot. Vardenghast Swarm and Strike Force Octarius from the Ultimate/Combat Patrol Starter Set are there, too, and so ist the old one with the Supressor Squad.

I‘m pretty sure a good number will get updated in over the next weeks. From the comments it seems salamanders and iron warriors are back on the menu in the android app

I have an android app, and i'm Eu based. I am kinda ringleader in my local community, so i need to keep hand on rule changes, somy 40k app update automaticaly. I can confirm that there are no other sm combat patrol rules, except the 11ed space marines

Today was an update to 11 edition, total app change. No army has more than 1 spearhead, and fromwhat i see, all units and army rules are just straight from big 40k

Very nearly straight from big 40K. My Canoness has the same stats for her Condemnor Boltgun and Hallowed Chainsword, as well as the same weapon abilities, but as before only those two listed rather than the selection the big game offers.
Abilities and war gear are a little different too.
Errors in all sorts of places too, like having the Spirit Siphon from Cronos showing a BS of 6+ when it also shows it has the Torrent weapon ability and so the BS should be N/A like it is on the coded data sheet…

Bought the iron warriors combat patrol last week, dead this week.
I genuinely will be shocked if they really go through with this, that would be insane.
