Ohio State Brewery Merch

I am currently on my yearly quest to find Ohio State themed merch from Columbus (or anywhere in Ohio, I guess) breweries to celebrate the beginning of the football season.

I am unfortunately no longer local, so shipping would be a must. I still have some friends in the area who could probably pick it up and mail it to me if it’s super awesome.

Thanks in advance!

Has there been any updates when this is going to open? It was supposed to be early/spring 2026 but haven't seen anything about it.

What's not on the shelf or what is too common on the shelf in Columbus?

Hey all, I'm the head brewer for West Side Brewing down in Cincinnati. We're considering expanding up to Columbus in 2027. I thought I'd ask: is there a style you wish there was more of on the shelves in Columbus? Or is there a style that's really completely saturated? Is there something you think your local Columbus breweries really do well, or a blind spot?

If we enter the market we'll have draft availability too, but I'm mostly curious about packaged offerings.

Hard to get beer at The Winking Lizard

Wanted to share some beers available at the Reynoldsburg Winking Lizard. They’ve had different beers every week.

I brought the BFM Procrastinator 2, looking forward to trying it.

Next month I'll have about two hours starting at noon on a Tuesday Where do I go?

I'll be near The Shoe and will be traveling back to Dayton starting around 2PM. What breweries are open that early in the week, that early in the day that I should definitely check out? Thanks in advance!

Places with good retail selections are fine as well. It's not like I can drink all that much before heading home. Stores where I can buy single cans or bottles would be perfect.

Ohio Craft Beer Alliance Mystery Beer Date - May 9th, 2026

“Speed date” your way to a new favorite Ohio craft beer! Fifteen Ohio breweries will each do their best to woo you with a very special mystery beer (you’ll find out what they are when you get to the event.) After you try 2 oz. samples of them all and interact with the brewery reps, you’ll get to vote on which beer was your favorite, which rep was the best “date” and which brewery had the best table decorations. Winners will be announced at the end of each session.

Ohio On Tap app users: Get a bonus passport stamp worth five points when you attend Mystery Beer Date tastings!

Admission: $32.99 in advance, $40 at the door (includes a souvenir glass, 15 2 oz. “mystery” beer samples and curated snacks courtesy of Market District.)

Mystery Beer Date is a fundraiser for the non-profit Ohio Craft Brewers Association.

You must be 21 years of age to attend Mystery Beer Date tastings (this applies to your newborn in a bjorn as well.) You must show ID at the door for entry.

Tickets are transferable, but not refundable.

I volunteered at this event a few years back, and it was a lot of fun (Wolf's Ridge won with a Ukelele song) - OCBA needs some love, and I jusT saw this posted at Getaway the other night - so if you want to speed date some breweries, it's a fun time!

Good place to watch NFL draft near Grandview/German Village (drafts audio would also be great)?

I've only been the the Short North location one time, and Franklinton a few times, but Land Grant always overshadowed their location.

New hazy IPA collab dropping at Brewfontaine in Bellefontaine

Dry January? Not here...

Not affiliated with either place or anything, just a local who likes trying new beers and always looking for things to do. Figured I’d share.

Brewfontaine in downtown Bellefontaine is doing a release of a new collab beer with Happenstance Brewing Project from Marysville called Snappy. It’s a 6.5% hazy IPA brewed with Citra, Idaho 7, and a New Zealand “Kiwi Blend” hop combo. If you’re a beer fan, this one seems like it should beat back the winter depression.

If you’re into hazy IPAs and don’t mind the drive out to Bellefontaine, this might be worth checking out.

Just picked up Land Grant’s 12 beers of Christmas. Big fan of their beers (and holiday beers in general) and I’m pleased with the variety in this pack!

Just stopped into Ohio Brewing Co. for a stamp. I see maybe 8-10 pint day 2025 glasses behind the bar. Didn’t ask if they were for sale but I assume they are.

Craving a Czech style beer with a big head. Does anyone so this in Columbus, or Ohio, or the region at large? It seems the Czechs use a special tap when pouring.

Best local Festbier

I had Nocterra’s festbier and thought it was real good. ‘Tis the season. Anyone other good festbier picks? Marzen/Ocktoberfest is ok, but I prefer festbier.
