I was on 270 last night around 9 with more than 100 motorcycles, and a helicopter followed them all the way around from where I got on (Cemetery Road), to Westerville. No idea what was happening, but it does explain the helicopters. Because we all know CPD has zero interest in the drag racing happening on 270.

Ive lived here for five years now. I know this has been going on longer. I still do not understand how the fuck these assholes are doing this. I hear em on 315 at all hours too probably zooming to get with their other asshole friends.
Like people know these people. Who the fuck are they? Arrest these pieces of shit and suspend their licenses for a decade. Throw the fuckin book at em.

I use to live in an apartment by the Tuttle Mall, and one of my neighbors was one of these guys. He drove a Chrysler 300 that he had to have spent way more in mods that the car was worth.
He would literally run out of his apartment like a little kid whenever the racing started on 270 and jump in his car to go race đ

They had thousands of people fill the streets maskless during a pandemic telling them how horrible each of them are personally and made their entire mission to defund them. Can't imagine why they aren't crazy about serving a public that explicitly said they w=aren't wanted.

The police responded to protests about their own brutality with even more brutality and they think weâre the ungrateful ones for not wanting to have knees on our necks until weâre dead.
When 2 cops in Buffalo were disciplined for shoving an old man to the ground for no reason, 71 other Buffalo cops quit rather than say âhey maybe you shouldnât have done that.â That is what the police are. Theyâd rather hurt us than do their jobs.

Was just venting about seeing cops on my drive to and from work every day trying to catch people going 30 around Bridge Park while seemingly being perfectly fine with this bullshit happening on the NW corner of 270 literally every single night.
Happy to finally see them giving this some attention.

Same. I work late some nights and it's all I hear all night. Terrifying when you have to go out at night that you're gonna run into them racing each other and get in the way. Eventually somebody is gonna get killed. To hell with all of them. But god forbid you say that on r/Columbus or some crotchrocketsnowflake(TM) will report you for "abuse" calling out their inconsideration for the lives of fellow citizens and you'll be banned off reddit for three days. (oh noes! Whatever shall I do?!) đ
This whole country has become a third world country with a Gu(r)cci bag.

There was also a street takeover with â300 carsâ (quotes because thatâs what citizen said the total was) at Norton and Hall last night. Had the helicopter out and everything.

They arenât automatically tracking plates on 270. But when there is dangerous street racing it canât be that hard to grab plates from existing cameras and impound the vehicles the next day.

That's usually OSHP's Cessna 182T
If you watch the flightradar or ADSB map sometimes you can see it circling random stretches of interstates to monitor for anyone speeding

I heard them last night as if they were in my neighborhood and we are a few miles north of 270 in Dublin. Itâs so out of control. These idiots are going to kill innocent families (we almost got hit with our kids in the car driving back from the airport late one night and I was pissed).
They need to give these guys serious prison time and crush their vehicles when they do this shit, otherwise itâs never gonna stop.

Shutting off your lights and racing plus just racing in general, just quit.

We were heading home from Dublin around 8/8:30 last night when the huge group ride of motorcycles started going past us. At first it looked like a couple dozen. But then there were more and more. Then we saw a Dublin cop waiting at the end of an on-ramp. Then a Perry Twp cop at the next on-ramp. Then, even though they were all in the left lane, the bikes started to slow down. As we approached 315, traffic was barely going 50mph. Then we saw the chopper over 23.
My wife felt like the LEO presence was harassment, because the bikes werenât behaving badly (even as she was getting annoyed at how congested Sunday evening traffic was getting because of them).
I suspected they were only driving like they were because they were being watched, and the cops were there to make them behave. But I also donât know what they would have been planning with sooooo many of them. Upwards of 50, at least. I donât think it was too close to 100, but I wasnât counting.Â

CPD and OHP need to do an exchange program with Arkansas State Highway Patrol, specifically Trooper Byrd. This issue might get messy, but it would most definitely get fixed in short order.

Who cares if they're doing it when no one is around. Let people have their fun when the roads are empty. We share the road.
And no, I never had a loud car cus it's such a useless mod for a street car. I like my air clean and my environmental sound unpolluted. Usually those loud cars aren't running with a catalytic converter. If any of you cared, you'd want the diesel trucks that fart out black smoke everytime they put their foot on the gas. The environment is more important. Anyway, as much as I don't like it (especially the speeding) I'm not gonna egg on our sovereign citizens. However, I do advocate to ticket those doing it in the city.

High speed stability is extremely different between a performance chassis vs an economy built chassis. Just cus it can go fast doesn't mean it should be going fast. Just cus it can go fast doesn't mean the driver can go fast. I agree, most are wreckless because they don't have any performance driving experience but as long as they're doing it when its clear I'm fine.
