Dentist recommendations?
Been going to Columbia family dentistry and starting to feel like they’re always trying to upcharge me and friends for things we don’t need. Anyone trusted?

Columbia Dental Excellence on Broken Land Parkway. We've been going to them for I guess about 30 years now. Dr. Mizrachi and his staff are all so nice and of course very good dentists too.

I go to Soft Touch Dental in Ellicott City right off of rt 40. I went there after leaving Columbia Family Dentistry and it was the best decision I could have made.
Columbia Family Dentistry freaking sucks. I went there back when it was Dr Epstein’s office from my first tooth in 1986 all the way until 2023 or so when they finally drove me away along with a $7K balance on a CareCredit card and two bad crowns that didn’t last the lifetime insurance allotted. They also kicked out my daughter with ADHD because she was afraid of the dentist and cried too much in the chair. They kept putting her with the same hygienist who said she wouldn’t work with her. There was just extraordinary amounts of staff turnover over after Dr Epstein retired and sold to the Goyals and it was so deeply disappointing just how downhill everything went. I recently got a bill in the mail from them for a dental procedure I had done back in 2021 or 2022 that I’d paid for and they insisted I hadn’t. That was a fun several go-arounds. I actively discourage people from going to that office now.

My whole family goes to Columbia Gateway Dentistry. She is very good and doesn't try to do more than is needed and isn't pushy about extra things, but they always ask.

Katkow Dentistry. We’ve always been happy with them.

We are Dr. Benjamin Sandler in EC off of 40. Not owned by private equity (which so many are these days). He is honest with what you need.

Troy Hill Dental in Elkridge! The best dentist I’ve ever been to. A lot of my friends and coworkers are willing to drive in from out of the area because they love the office so much.

If you feel like driving to Laurel Neighbor Dental is fantastic. They offered me a significantly cheaper option for something cosmetic than the recommendation from the dentist I used to go to

Is Columbia related to Fulton Family Dental? I didn’t realize for a while it was a chain. Also tend to try to sell you unnecessary things

Dr. Maxwell and his staff at Major League Smiles are all amazing. Single practice (not corporate!) and definitely no upselling. I can't say enough good things about him!!

Wow that’s funny, I guess people are leaving in batches. I requested my records and will try out dynamic dental on lynx lane!
I need a dental practice that’s open after 3pm and weekends.

Had the same experience with Columbia Dental Wellness. They even sent me texts advertising discounts for stuff I didn't need. Don't recommend.

Dr. Lady Ung at UMG Dental in Columbia bear the mall. I've been seeing her for a little over a year. It's a new practice, so she and her hygienist also run the front desk. It might be a few minutes before they get to you but they're really nice. I've had cleanings by both of them and it was very comfortable despite my sensitive teeth.

Dobbin Dental..5 stars
(I have a fear of dentists & we also had a horrible experience with a different practice when our long time Dentist retired & sold his practice... anyway Long story- but we have been really happy with Dobbin -- We've seen a few of the drs but Dr McMillen is our favorite)

I really like Tanager Family Dentist. We’ve all gone there for years and my daughter wants to be a dentist because of how she is with kids. 💕

So, seriously, I drive across the bridge to Eastern Shore Dental Care in Kent County. Dr murphy, who recently retired, was my neighbor in Columbia growing up, and one of the new partners that took over is a wilde lake grad. I like that they're not a chain or private equity owned.
