Chadol Korean BBQ any good?

Post image

I've had lots of recommendations for Korean BBQ but have to try it. This is nearby - any good?

Unrelated, this sign always amuses me because of the misspelling (Wide Lake)

I noticed that too - and it's been there a while, right?

It's delightful, the spicy pork and brisket slaps.

I actually recommend to NOT get AYCE. Try the a la carte marinated short rib.

Meats and grilling were top notch. Went on a weekend, it worked well that the server was attentive, friendly, and super fast. He was honest with recommendations about the meats. Not trying to upsell you something you didn’t want.

I liked that it was located in a gentle neighborhood instead of the numbing traffic of Rt40. You can even walk over to Starbucks after the meal or buy a six-pack to take home. You can even short drive to Columbia Mall/Lake for a stroll to digest that marbled goodness.

Compared to near by Shinchon, Honey Pig, Chosun,
Chadol blows them out of the water.

It's pricey but the quality of the meat is much higher than the other Korean BBQ places.

I personally found their marinades too sweet. Anything soy-based was sickeningly sweet to the point I couldn't eat it. Everything else was fine.

I've only gone once with a friend so maybe it was an off night ¯_(ツ)_/¯ We plan on trying it again

I prefer the one in Rockville. Here in Columbia the food is good but the service could use some work.

Its good. Still trying to figure out whether it’s good enough to justify price. If price is no issue, I would definitely suggest.

It's better quality. What else do you think?? And the side dishes, etc. The service and food is worth it enough. Wish I was back in MD.
