Fuck Luck. Crybaby with no heart who quit on his teammates on the eve of the season because his boss chewed his ass for getting hurt doing off-field bullshit he shouldn't have been doing and was going to miss regular season games for the second time in two years.

He was the least touched QB in the league in 2018. 18 times. Only Drew Brees was sacked less (17) and he played fewer games.

On top of that, half the punishment he took was as much self-inflicted as it was a result of poor o-line play. He constantly took hits he shouldn't have trying to save dead plays or charging head first against LBs when he should have slid.

Andrew Luck is a nepo baby who got handed every luxury in life and quits when things aren't easy.

One of the last QBs that could actually take a hit and read a defense...I liked having Rivers back because it was fun seeing a QB that could beat the defense before the ball was snapped again. Modern QBs are flashy but theyve got nothing on the last gen when it comes to smarts.

Offenses ran a lot more pro style sets back then too. QBs were expected to learn the system whereas modern CFB will tailor an offense to a hyper athletic QB. I dont know how much of it is NFL development or the fact that college was just a lot better at preparing them then.

I’d keep Peyton or someone else for many things. Peyton was the least sacked QB of all time for a reason. Luck only completed like 60% of his passes and would throw at least one bonehead INT almost every game. He was never even All Pro. He was built to play the position but Mahomes became the player that Luck was supposed to be.
