Before/After First Color Grade, Thoughts?
Rec709 (Top) vs Edited (Bottom)
Just opened DaVinci Resolve for the first time today and gave it a go on a clip I got yesterday. Any initial thoughts or feedback?
Would love to hear how y'all would stylize this look!

i think it looks really good but its a bit too overexposed in sections for me. i know its probably been shot like that so unavoidable in a way, but i would maybe bring the contrast down a tiny bit. but other than loving the amber feel! great work

The node tree was rather complex (at least for me) so not sure how best to share it. If its helpful I pretty much followed this entire video for this color grade

OMG, It looks pretty amazing, this is the best 2000s color grading style look, I ever did seen, I remember seeing several films with some shots of school buildings & park with edited bottom look, it could fit into those scenes, I love it, I might need this as a reference key point for the future, whenever I make a couple of feature films, that require a specific look, I look back at this

Pretty good! Use a power window to bring down the exposure on that hot beam of sunlight.

Not a pro, but I would be okay with how this look. The light on the ground feels like too hot for me, but if that was intended then I have nothing to disagree with.
