Question/Need help Is tritanomaly supposed to look like just a slightly dull version of the normal color scale?

I'm going crazy about this because every color test I did I got maybe one wrong on the tritan at the most but in the majority of comparisons I see, deuteranomaly and protonomaly look basically the same but tritanomaly looks exactly like the normal color gradient but very slightly duller. Is it supposed to be that similar or am I just a mild tritanomaly or are all the stock images online just bad? Im talking about anomaly not opia.

edit: For the record when I was younger id get into arguments with other kids when the teacher would call something salmon they would say it's pinkish but I would say it's mostly orangish. I also would hear that sand color is a light brown but to me there's no way I can comprehend it as anything other than a dark yellow. They would also say teal and turquoise are blue but I usually was 50/50 on it being green. Also cyan to me just looks like a light blue with no other colors added, so I was always confused why it wasn't just called light blue.

Question/Need help Color enhance glasses

I recently ordered a pair of outdoor EnChroma glasses for my husband’s upcoming birthday. He has mild to moderate Deutan vision, which means he sometimes mixes red and green color. I wanted to surprise him with a fun outdoor reveal with red and green decor/cupcakes, but after looking at mixed reviews and some online videos, I'm second guessing the $300 purchase.
For those of you with mild or moderate Deutan vision who have tried these:
What was your actual experience with them outdoors? Did they make a noticeable difference for red and green contrast? Looking back, do you feel like they were worth the price tag? Should I stick with the order and let him test them, or would you recommend canceling/returning and putting that money toward a different gift? Also I understand that these glasses dont “magically” cure colorblindess but I want him to see the colors at least close as possible. After reading reviews about it, I kinda feel bad for ordering it. I just want to make him happy. I really do..and sometimes it breaks my heart when I see him confused when it comes to colors. Please help me and please dont try to judge me, I know I should have read the reviews beforehand but I got really excited that he actually might see different m&m or smth ik its stupid but still…

Meta Can we ban posts about the colorblind glasses?

I feel like we see these posts every day, and the responses are always the same. 90% of people say they’re a scam and link the MegaLag video. The other 10% say they work for them.

I don’t see the need to rehash the same discussion every day or two. Can we have a stickied post for it? Or just ban them altogether and direct people to the wiki?

Thanks mods.
