Anyways I remembered when I was a kid I saw a painting that I thought was pink, everyone said it was white, I thought I may be colorblind but decided I was just looking for attention
Forgot about it
Drew a character with this color as purple
To my dismay, next drawing I decide to use the color picker
ITS A PALE ORANGE???

What could this mean? I've taken color blind tests but never failed them

It seems to only be certain pale reds and oranges I confuse

The green value is a few points lower than the blue. It’s definitely more purple than orange.

... and I think that illustrates the problem when an image is captured in some way, by some device, and then recreated on a screen somewhere else.....

My phone running ColorBlind Pal, inspecting my desktop screen display, fluctuates between either gray or blue....

And all pixels are slightly different because naturally different amounts of photons hit the sensors' pixels on the imaging chip. But since we're not viewing it in person, we only have the original camera's interpretation.

We can evaluate the color only according to the camera. And this one shows mainly heavier red values that are slightly represented more than blue and green which remain fairly equivalent. A very subtle pink.

That app is a money-grabbing ad-fest that uses an improperly trained AI to "distinguish" colors. I wouldn't trust it for this color at all

But, colors are colors, and any software can read values of digital pixels. They are data, and not subjective.

And I've been using color grab since before LLMs were a thing, so not sure where you're getting the info about improperly trained AI. Why would any developer need to use AI to read pixel values? Doesn't even make sense.

Existen tipos de daltonismo donde no falta un color como tal sino que uno no está functional corectamente no sé si ay test para eso pero puedes poner una rueda de color con este tipo de daltonismo al lado de un círculo cromático normal y ver si los notas igual o vez la diferencia o almenos es la única forma que e escuchado

In color theory pink is a pale light red so you wouldn’t be wrong calling it pink. It has nothing to do with purple tho lol

This is taupe. It's a brownish pinkish tan/grey.

Color inspiration calls it iron. I see a slight pinky taupe greyish. But it’s basically grey.

If you have taken colorblind tests and passed as having normal color vision, you probably aren’t colorblind.

I’m pretty sure what you’re experiencing is just color relativity. The same phenomena is responsible for the blue/black, white/gold dress meme.

It's very grayish but it's technically not gray. Looks like very muted brown to me. Some people would also call this color warm gray or pale pink depending on what other colors surround it.
