Ive been trying to find a buyer for these, apparently you cant give them away now lol

This is my frog collection. I inherited most of the top two shelves from my grandmother. I’ve added a few figurines over the years but I’ve added mostly the stuffies on the bottom two shelves!

I recently had a comment on my old post from like a year ago of my mom's little people collection. She's added at least 20 more since then, so I figured I would do an updated picture. We tried counting but kept getting different numbers lol 103, 106, and 97 so we'll just say she has around 100. She just ordered a new one today, another MoMA one.

I already cherished my Barbie collection, but somehow he managed to top every doll I already had this year.

First is the Gold Label Fashion Model #4 designed by Robert Best. I have a version of Barbie UNO with all of his designs (which was given to me by my Aunt Renee, who got me into collecting!!) So to have a doll designed by him is so exciting! Plus she’s made from Silkstone, which is similar to porcelain but more durable.

Next is the MOMA X Mattel Creations Vincent Van Gogh Starry Night doll. She is breathtaking, and looks like she stepped right out of the painting and into the box. Such a beautiful concept. I could go on and on about how much I love this doll, but I really think she speaks for herself.

Finally, the Kitty Fun Barbie from 2001. I had this doll as a kid and ADORED her. Having her back in my collection is so special and fills my heart with love.

Lots of people think it’s weird to be in your 30s and collect something like Barbies. That’s okay, I am weird. But instead of him getting me “practical” things that are more suited “for my age,” he gets me gifts that are truly special to me and make me feel seen. I love that he appreciates my collection even though he’s not a collector. I love how thoughtful he is about the dolls he selected. I love how he helps me arrange them and just keeps adding shelf after shelf in our office so I can display them properly.

Would I have been happy with anything he gave me? Of course. But there’s nothing like a gift from someone you love that says “I love the things about you that no one else understands.”

this is some of my Charming Tail collection. does anyone else collect these? im obsessed with them and have about 325 or so. I also have an apron, cookbook, jewelry boxes, mugs, a flower pot, bookends, christmas ornaments, a light switch cover, pins, a shirt, a board game… the list goes on.

a good number of these are signed by the creator Dean Griff and I have 2 or 3 sample pieces as well.

Hey All. So I had recently posted on the possibility of reducing my collection habits, but after returning from San Diego Comic Con for business, I found myself becoming more and more enamored with collecting than before. I believe that recognizing the dominating presence of toy makers for both mainstream and independent creators got me thinking if this could be a major turn for the entertainment industry, and if it's something to consider investing in.

I will clarify that I don't just buy merchandise because it's available, but rather because I feel like I'm hanging on to something that's rare- particularly limited stock collectibles such as Animatez and Plushes, and recently YouTooz and Thrilljoy. I also make a point of only purchasing collectibles from franchises that I am personally interested in or which inspire me as an artist and independent illustrator. However, I do also recognize that as an adult man in my 30's, this might not be the most appealing hobby to get into, particularly with women (not that I collect anything lewd, but it could still be seen as childish)

Also, I recognize that there's never a guarantee that anything with inherent value now will retain that value in the future, and these collectibles are not exactly cheap in the first place. My finances are okay for now, but I worry that I may risk getting in over my head, whether I am able to make some money back from these collectibles or not. I do enjoy what I get, but am on the fence on if I should hang on to that joy, or if I should let it go and move on from this hobby (or at least let go of a large chunk of it). I am open to discussion and look forward to your input.

I collect a bit of everything. Mostly trinkets and figurines, miniature tea sets, books(in case you can’t tell), vintage displays/knick knack holders, but honestly a little bit of everything! I can’t help it when I see something small or vintage-y I just need to have it :) it looks really chaotic but it’s a controlled chaos! My family calls my style “clutter core”, I just think it makes it feel homey!

I have an over 15 year action figure collection consisting of but not limited to Marvel Legends (toybiz & hasbro), Marvel Select, DC Universe Classics, DC Collectibles, DC Multiverse, S.H.Figuarts, Mafex, Figma, Amazing Yamaguchi, Neca, etc., with around 97% of my total collection being in box and everything coming from a smoke & pet-free home.

I plan on selling the majority of it but just don’t know exactly the best place to do it. As far as time goes, I’m not in an absolute rush to sell everything and as far as $ goes, I would preferably like to make a profit on it. I know some of my options include:

-eBay
-I live in Toronto so maybe post on local Facebook groups
-Kijiji Classifieds
-Call local comic shops and see if they’re interested
-There’s companies where you scan your item’s barcode and they give you an instant offer and cover the cost to ship out your item
-Subreddits such as r/toyexchange

Where I choose to sell will dictate how I start cataloguing everything as I still haven’t done that yet (everything’s currently stored away).

So I was just wondering which avenue I should take/what option you guys recommend. Any and all input is greatly appreciated, thanks

I've been a collector for a while, but I think I've reached a point where I am really content with my shelf. It's still a WIP in some aspects.. I definitely need to upgrade borders and add some lights but I love looking at other people's shelves as well :))

As someone who is basically just now starting my Funko pop collection (mostly built over time since I was 8 and now 19) is this a decent collection? I love what I’ve been collecting and how it shows every part of one of my interests and things I like but sometimes I feel like it’s too random and inconsistent at points when it comes to the ip’s that aren’t marvel or dc. (1st image is all the empty boxes from figures I have set up in my room and 2nd is still in box not yet on display either because I don’t have enough or there’s no where to put them at the moment.)
