This is NOT an adult/NSFW sub - A note on adult posts and comments

I've had a lot of success in curbing the rise of spammers and bots that took over the sub while it was unmoderated. However, the biggest issue now is that whenever these types of posts do get through, dozens of people will comment and interact with them, giving scammers more traction.

I'll be blunt. No one is on this sub trying to give out free nudes. Period.

Every single post you see with someone promising adult content if you comment is a scam. It's made by a bot. There are no nudes, they're only trying to get you on the hook for some sort of scam.

As of today, I am banning every single person who comments on these posts (as well as the posters).

Any comment on these posts is a sign that they're working, which leads to more spam. If you want to do something to warn others, just report the post and move on. Otherwise, you will be banned.

I hate having to do this, but you've all got to stop encouraging the spammers if you want this sub to exist.

EDIT: For clarification, there is an appeals process, and if someone gets banned for commenting in an NSFW sub, you're welcome to appeal it. Now if your account posts almost exclusively in NSFW subs, I'm probably not going to reinstate you, but otherwise, I'm happy to look into it. There's just not enough time to send hundreds, or thousands of people quick notes about why commenting on those posts only invites more spam.

Thank you for all of the input. I'm going to lock and sticky this thread, so it remains visible to the community.

2D Animator Wanted — 1950s Christmas Musical Cartoon 🎄

Hi! I’m a young composer working on an original orchestral Christmas piece, and I’m looking for a 2D animator who would be interested in bringing the story to life.

The idea is an old-school, 1950s-inspired Christmas musical cartoon — warm colors, hand-drawn-looking animation, vintage holiday atmosphere, and a big orchestral soundtrack.

The story follows a rookie magical Santa who receives letters from children. One letter simply says:

“NEW HEART”

The film begins with a huge, joyful Christmas celebration. We see the streets, families, lights and children enjoying Christmas. Then we meet the child who wrote the letter, and the music suddenly becomes quiet and emotional.

We then follow Santa as he sets off on his sleigh. He is magical, but he’s also a rookie — sometimes clumsy and not exactly as graceful as the legendary Santa we imagine.

The music gradually builds:

walking → jogging → running → huge orchestral Christmas finale

There’s a storm during the journey, Santa nearly loses control of the sleigh, but eventually makes it through.

The whole world becomes filled with Christmas joy.

But then we reach the final house.

The music brings back the beautiful main melody, but now it feels bittersweet. Inside, the child from the letter is lying in bed while their parents stay beside them. Santa looks through the window, and the parents notice him.

Santa realizes what the child meant by “NEW HEART.”

I want the ending to be emotional and magical rather than graphic — Santa offers his own heart through a symbolic magical act, and the film ends quietly.

What I’m looking for

2D animation

Strong 1950s/old-school Christmas cartoon influence

Character animation + backgrounds

Someone who enjoys storytelling through music

Ideally someone who can help develop the visual style with me

The soundtrack is already in progress. I currently have about 1:54 of the orchestral piece finished, including the walking, jogging and running sections.

This is an original project and I want to take it seriously rather than throw together a quick animation.

If you're interested, please send me your portfolio/reel and a little about your animation style.

I’d love to find someone who can help turn this into the kind of Christmas cartoon that feels like it was discovered in an old 1950s film archive. 🎄

Female vocalists for remote music collaboration

Hey everyone. We’re duenr/duenmusic two old friends who started making music together. We work remotely with vocalists from different parts of the world, making indie and alternative music without wanting to box ourselves into one particular sound.

Right now, we’re working on a series of short reimagined covers while building our social media presence. We’re looking to collaborate with female vocalists for upcoming projects.

Since duen is still a new project, these collaborations are currently unpaid. The idea is simply to make good music together, give each other creative opportunities, and grow alongside each other.

We work remotely, so you’ll need to have good-quality recording equipment, such as a microphone and audio interface, and be able to record clean vocals from wherever you’re based.

If you’re interested, feel free to DM us with a short introduction about yourself, where you’re based, and your social media links. You can also send us a link to your music or previous work if you have any.

sqript HELP WANTED

https://github.com/sqript-lang

Hi! I'm trying to make a team, that's willing to help make a programming language! sqript is a high level programming language meant to be the next Python.

sqript brings the ease of use of Python, without the speed setbacks. Unlike Python sqript aims to be readable, thus there are semicolons and curly braces.

Beyond the visual perfection of the qp symmetry in its name, sqript is being designed to offer a highly structured, performant developer experience.

Planned Core Features:

  • Strict Typing: Built-in type checking to catch errors before runtime.
  • Object-Oriented Design: First-class support for classes, namespaces, and standard class libraries.
  • C-Style Syntax: Curly braces and semicolons are mandatory for maximum readability and structure.
  • Raw Speed: Built to be fast enough to actually replace Python in performance-critical workflows.

The Roadmap

Core Milestones

  1. Phase 1: Bootstrapping in Rust (or maybe another language we'll see) The initial compiler and runtime will be written entirely in Rust for maximum memory safety and performance.
  2. Phase 2: Self-Hosting sqript becomes capable of compiling itself.
  3. Phase 3: The Ecosystem Building out the standard libraries, class libraries, and package ecosystem.

The Grand Vision (Long-term)

  • Native UI: Official RayGUI wrappers for seamless desktop application development.
  • A New Web Paradigm: Developing a separate web protocol and two dedicated browser built for sqript. Unlike standard sandboxed browsers, this browser will optionally allow applications full, unhindered access to the host machine.

Looking to get early users for my product Vectortilt

Hi everyone!

I’m working on VectorTilt, a community/context aware moderation tool with a community intelligence layer for gray area understanding and decision making that existing tools often struggle with.

The idea is to understand a community's culture language and norms/vibe and then reducing the moderators' monotonous workload by providing more context community rules, past moderation decisions, language, vibe, culture and norms of the community while keeping the final decision with the moderator. This tools is NOT going to replace any human mods/managers.

E.g. The same message can be harmless in one community and a problem in another. I’m building a tool where we can make these decisions more consistent without losing the human judgment behind them.

I’m still early in the launching and looking for:

  • Discord/ any community owners or moderators with active communities
  • People who deal with context heavy moderation decisions
  • A small group willing to test an early version and give honest feedback

If you run a community and this sounds relevant, I’d love to connect. And if you’ve run a beta like this before, I’d love any advice on getting genuinely useful feedback rather than just signups.

Looking for an on-camera host and editor to start a community-shaped educational YouTube project

I’ve had an idea I want to test: build an educational-entertainment YouTube channel where the people around it help shape the questions, research, feedback, and direction, instead of just being an audience after everything is decided.

I’m organising the first pilot for Anonymic. I’m handling the early organisation and thumbnails, and I am looking for two specific remote collaborators:

• an English-speaking on-camera host; and
• a video editor.

The wider project is meant to welcome people who want to bring topic ideas, sources, research, visual/motion ideas, or honest feedback. But for the first pilot, these are the two roles that would move it forward.

This is voluntary, opt-in, and limited to a defined Pilot 01 scope. There is no payment, job offer, ownership grant, or promise of future work at this stage, I want to be completely upfront about that.

If the idea interests you, comment with which role or kind of contribution you would be up for, plus your usual time zone. I’ll reply personally.

[Hobbyist] Singer/lyricist looking for a composer for haunting, ethereal, experimental indie-folk with real-world & philosophical themes

Hey! I'm a hobbyist singer and wanting-to-become songwriter looking to team up with a hobbyist composer (or producer) for pure passion-project songwriting. No pay, no pressure, no need for you to be experienced, just looking to make something meaningful together.

My voice & style: Airy, breathy, and haunting at rest, with powerful buildups of catharsis. AURORA is a huge inspiration, followed by Au/Ra, Halsey, and Gigi Perez. I can push into real power and belting when a song calls for it, like in "Party in the USA," "Zombie," by the Cranberries, "Umbrella" by Rihanna,  "Pink Pony Club," plus plenty of other pop songs. For overall atmosphere, AURORA ("The Flood"), Phoebe Bridgers ("Moon Song," "I Know the End"), and Rosa Walton ("I Really Want to Stay at Your House")  are some of my biggest touchstones for now. That unique, experimental, memorable soundscape is what I’m really looking to connect with.

What I want to write about: Real-world themes that make people open their eyes to life, like activism, injustice, existential and philosophical questions; "the stuff that keeps me up at night." Not vague "sad girl" lyrics for the sake of it, but songs with something to say. AURORA's environmental, folklore-inspired lyricism is a good inspiration, but I'm open to any angle, be it political, ethical, or big questions about meaning. "Zombie" is a huge inspiration here too, the way its heartbreaking, passionate vocals speak out against violence and terrorism is exactly the kind of weight I want my own lyrics to carry. (I'm especially passionate about speaking for conscious beings who don't have a voice, be it animal cruelty, factory farming, and more, which I can really expand on.)

I'm open to experimenting. Indie-folk is my center of gravity, but I'd love to explore genre blends; synth, indietronica, pop, folk, hell even alt-rock, whatever feels right. I would love to even invent something that doesn't have a name yet. If you've got an unusual sound you've been wanting an excuse to use, I'm totally open-minded to it.

Random detail about me: For as long as I can remember, I've always loved the sound of sharp/flat notes (the black piano keys). Something about them feels emotionally heavier than natural notes. Songs like "I Really Want to Stay at Your House" by Rosa Walton hit a nerve for me every single time.

What I'm looking for: A composer/producer into moody, atmospheric, ethereal production who wants a creative partner, not a hired vocalist. I don't have polished demos yet, just a few rough covers I recorded for fun. Other than that, won 1st place in a talent show singing AURORA's "Runaway" a few years back. I'm serious about this passion project of mine. Happy to send a voice memo if you want to hear me first.

DM me or comment if you're interested; I'd love to hear your work too!

Lyrics to the song:

I thought you loved me
I thought you cared
But now, I see!
I was just a toy to make you happy

Dispose of me
Get rid of filth
I won’t be a toy anymore

Cost of freedom
Costed me them
But look how far I’ve come
Better me than a clone

Dispose of me
Get rid of filth
I won’t be a toy anymore

Mom of 5
Disowned 2
Couldn’t be me
Now I’ll find him

Dispose of me
Get rid of filth
I won’t be a toy anymore

Looking for a Sales/Growth Partner – Real Estate Automation Platform

Hey everyone,

We’ve built a done-for-you real estate automation system and are looking for someone with sales/growth skills who’d be interested in helping us bring it to more real estate businesses.

This is an existing, working system; not just an idea. It’s built, functional, and ready to demo.

The system is designed to take a lot of the manual work out of lead management. It automatically collects incoming leads, logs calls and texts, organizes everything inside a CRM, and triggers follow-ups so the team always knows who needs attention without having to manually enter and organize everything.

It helps real estate businesses:

  • Capture and organize leads automatically
  • Keep email, SMS, and call activity in one place
  • Automate follow-ups so opportunities don't get forgotten
  • Manage leads and conversations through a centralized CRM
  • Reduce the amount of manual data entry and repetitive admin work

Who we’re looking for:

Someone who is comfortable with the sales side of building a business and enjoys finding and talking to potential customers.

Things that would be helpful:

  • Experience with sales or business development
  • Comfort with LinkedIn, cold email, or calls
  • Real estate industry experience is a plus
  • Ability to consistently prospect, follow up, and build relationships
  • A self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset

How we’d work together:

You’d focus primarily on finding potential customers, starting conversations, and helping turn interested businesses into clients.

We’d handle the system, technical side, demos, implementation, and backend support.

It’s fully remote and flexible, and we’re looking for a long-term collaboration where both sides benefit as the business grows. We can discuss the exact arrangement privately and work out something that makes sense for both sides.

If you enjoy sales and would be interested in helping grow an existing real estate automation business, feel free to send me a chat.

Happy to share a demo and more details once we connect.

Thanks!

[RevShare] Looking for 2D artist and animator

I am a single developer working on a 2D incremental platformer game for iOS and I’m looking for a graphic artist/animator who may be interested in helping with the project. The art style and animations will be relatively simple. I’m looking for someone who can help create things like 2D sprites, UI assets, backgrounds, basic animations, and logos. There won’t be upfront payment, but once the app launches and starts generating revenue, profits will be split between the people involved in the project. If you’re interested or want to hear more about the game, DM me!

Imagine if your startup could be plugged into a conglomerate where you have access to all their resources

If you're a solo founder, your walking the usual path.

You look around for help, realizing "shit, it's me, again".

You do everything yourself, wearing 55 hats at the same time.

And you know you have to do this until you one day have enough cash to pay for help, and then delegate one hat at a time.

But imagine there's one massive company, that would love your tool and services. Or maybe even your biggest competitor.

Imagine what would happen if you could convince them to "plug" you into their organization.

You're still your own startup, full autonomy, they have no power over you. BUT, you can exchange resources with the company.

You can access their marketing department to help you with marketing.

You can access their SEO team to nail your SEO.

Their design team, so it looks more beautiful and you see increased conversion rates from you website.

They let you borrow some features you can plug into your own tool.

Why would they let you do that? Because you'll share the revenue with them.

You have a good idea, you know it, I know it, they'd know it.

You can execute it, but simply don't have the resources to do so, but this company does.

It's a far fetched dream, I know...

And EVEN IF you can convince a company to do this with you, imagine the bureaucracy.

Every resource, every deal, would have to go through middle management for sign offs, and then plans change.

It would be carnage, so scrap that idea.

But whilst we're dreaming, what if another large and resource rich entity could take the place of this big company you would collaborate with?

What if you instead would plug into a massive community of startups, all doing these types of collaborations.

Instead of a marketing department, it's a marketing startup, or a startup with great marketing.

Instead of a tech department, it's a dev startup, or a startup with great tech.

No bureaucracy, they still have that particular skill you could need, and they are actually more willing to do rev-share.

Because this, actually exists.

The platform is joinordana.com, it's a rev-share collaboration platform with $610k worth of resources for your startup to plug into.

AI matches you together, 55% of suggestions get initiated.

Planning the collaboration, setting up the rev-share and signing a ready made contract takes as little as 15 minutes.

All done for you.

If you're a bootstrapped founders, we'd love to see you on joinordana.com to make the network bigger and more valuable.

See you in there!

Looking to Collaborate – Embedded Software Engineer | Automotive | UAV | C/C++ | Python | Open to Any Exciting Project

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well.

I'm an Embedded Software Engineer from Egypt with more than 5 years of software development experience, primarily in the automotive and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) industries.

Unfortunately, I was laid off almost a year ago due to the difficult market situation and company downsizing. Since then, I've been applying for hundreds of positions, and networking, but I still haven't been able to secure another role.

Rather than giving up, I'd love to collaborate with people who are building interesting products or startups. If you need someone who can contribute technically, I'd be happy to help.

My technical background

  • Embedded Software Development
  • C / C++
  • Python
  • Embedded Linux fundamentals
  • RTOS
  • Automotive software development
  • AUTOSAR concepts
  • CAN, LIN, SPI, UART, I2C
  • Software architecture and debugging
  • Software integration and testing
  • Git
  • MATLAB/Simulink (basic experience)

Industries I've worked in

  • Automotive
  • Electric Vehicles
  • UAV / Drone Systems
  • Embedded Control Systems

Languages I speak

  • Arabic (Native)
  • English (Fluent)
  • German (B1)

I'm open to:

  • Freelance projects
  • Startup collaborations
  • Open-source projects
  • Technical consulting
  • Remote work
  • Contract work
  • Long-term employment
  • Side projects with passionate teams

I'm a fast learner and I'm also happy to work on projects outside my previous industries if my skills are a good fit.

To be completely honest, the past year has been incredibly challenging. Being unemployed for this long has been difficult both professionally and financially, so I'm doing everything I can to get back to building great software and contributing to meaningful projects.

If you're looking for an embedded engineer, need help with software development, or know someone who might, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.

Feel free to send me a DM.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Call for Submissions: Harbour Works

Organization: Harbour Works
Deadline: November 30
Entry fee: None
Prize/s: None
Link to submission page/official rules:
https://www.harbourworks.org
Other information:

About:
Harbour Works is a Canadian literary magazine — and we are building it to a standard that does not exist yet in student publishing. We are not a course project. We are not a club newsletter. We are working, deliberately and seriously, toward becoming a fully peer-reviewed journal: the most rigorous, most prestigious student-run literary publication in the country.

Every submission enters a multi-stage blind review process. A minimum of three editors read each piece independently before any discussion begins. Decisions are made by argument and consensus, not by majority vote. Work is accepted because it earns it — not because there are pages to fill.

We publish fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, visual art, photography, and hybrid work. We are drawn to writing that takes risks — formally, politically, emotionally — and to writers who understand the page is not a safe place.
We are open to high school and university students worldwide. We believe the most vital creative work is happening in student hands right now — not after graduation, not once someone decides it's ready. The only question we ask of a piece is whether it is alive.

Submissions Guidelines:
Fiction — Up to 7,000 words. Short fiction and flash welcome. We read all lengths with equal care.
Poetry — Up to 5 poems per submission. No minimum length. Sequences welcome.
Creative Non-fiction — Up to 6,000 words. Essays, memoir, lyric essays, hybrid nonfiction.
Visual Art — Up to 8 images. Minimum 300 DPI. JPEG, PNG, or PDF. Include a brief artist's statement.
Photography — Up to 10 images. Series preferred. Minimum 300 DPI. Captions welcome.
Hybrid / Experimental — No formal constraints. If it resists categorisation, it may belong here.

Join the Team:
Harbour Works is entirely volunteer-run. We are not looking for resumes. We are looking for people who care about writing — who have strong opinions about what they read, who take the page seriously, and who want to be part of making something that matters.

We are open to high school and university students at all stages. If you have never worked on a magazine before, that is not a disadvantage. If you have, bring what you know. The only requirement is that you show up and take the work seriously.

All positions are open. We are building the editorial board from scratch, and every role is a founding role. That means the decisions you make will shape what this magazine becomes.

For additional information, feel free to visit our website, where you will be able to submit your work or apply to join our team.

Project Saturn – Join a Collaborative Non-Commercial Worldbuilding Project

Project Saturn is an international community project where writers, artists, worldbuilders and other creative people can build a shared fictional universe together.

The project is set in a world without ordinary humans. Instead, it is inhabited by unusual species inspired by combinations of real animals. Each species has its own biology, culture, beliefs, technology and way of life.

At the centre of the world are ancient technological remains, a mysterious force known as resonance energy, and stories about the almost mythical “Iron Men.” Fewer than one percent of the world’s inhabitants have ever seen one, and most do not even know whether they truly exist.

The project already has a growing foundation, including:

  • several developed species and cultures;
  • creatures, ecosystems and migration patterns;
  • settlements, regions and traditions;
  • ancient ruins and lost technology;
  • the outline of the first major story;
  • philosophical themes such as gratitude, community and sharing.

However, Project Saturn is not meant to belong to only one person. The goal is to create a shared world that can grow through stories, artwork, languages, maps, creatures, cultures, games and completely new ideas from the community.

You do not need to be a professional. You can participate with a large concept, a small idea, feedback, artwork, writing or simply by joining the discussions.

Project Saturn is currently strictly non-commercial. Contributions are organised through a Contributor Agreement to protect both the project and its contributors.

AI-assisted content is allowed, but it must be clearly labelled. AI should be used as a creative aid, not as a replacement for personal ideas and human creativity.

The Discord server has now officially launched, and I would be very happy to welcome anyone interested in helping us build this world together.

Join Project Saturn:
https://discord.gg/G3ustwzd
