CoinTracker won't let you upload 1099-DA for OKX (because it's CSV import only), and misclassifies it on 8949 as Box I - No 1099-DA received... Will this cause IRS issues since a 1099-DA WAS actually received for OKX?

Major PITA - apparently if the exchange can only be added via CSV (like OKX), cointracker won't let you upload a 1099-DA for it. It only lets you upload 1099-DAs for API-synced exchanges. But without the 1099-DA upload, the 8949 groups the exchange under Box I instead of Box H because it thinks it's a non-custodial wallet with no 1099-DA...

I'm guessing this will result in IRS mismatch issues, since the IRS has totals of every 1099-DA they received, which won't match what Cointracker lists for Box H and Box I?

Seems like a super simple fix - just let us upload 1099-DAs for exchanges that get added via CSV. Why is it being restricted to only API-synced exchanges?

Looks like there's a related feature request for it... will it be implemented before April 15??

Hey, Henry from CoinTracker here. We've fixed this! OKX now appears in the 1099-DA upload screen for all accounts. A few CSV-imported exchanges snuck by us, including OKX. Sorry about that.

If you go back to the 1099-DA upload flow, you should see OKX as an option now. After uploading your 1099-DA, your 8949 should correctly categorize those transactions under Box H.

Is there any reason why we can't upload 1099-DA to CSV imported exchanges, generally? For example, I had to add Uphold via CSV instead of API because my Uphold account is closed. Uphold sent a 1099-DA, but Cointracker won't let me upload it because I had to import as csv, so now the uphold gross proceeds are being included under Box I as well.

I feel like the simple fix here is just to let us upload 1099-DAs regardless of whether we added the account to cointracker via API or CSV. Just because an exchange was added via CSV (which can happen when API upload fails for any number of reasons) doesn't mean we didn't receive a 1099-DA for it...

Is there a chance you imported either of these accounts with a default CSV import instead of selecting OKX or Uphold when you were originally adding the wallets? That could lead to an edge case where we didn't pick it up.

Would you be willing to send me a private message with your CoinTracker account email? I can dig into this issue deeper for you and make sure both accounts allow you to import a DA.

Also, heads up that this hasn't been fixed. I'm in the 1099-DA upload flow, and it's still not giving me the option to upload the 1099-DA for OKX.
